Motor plate separates from tranny so I can leave the Motor and bumper in place. A lot less of a hassle than with the stock 2wd slash tranny.

    replaced all the bearings inside.

And some of you guys asked about my hubs. Heres an example of the different types of wheels i can run now. I think I have a wider selection now which is always good.

^^^^^ That tranny and motor staying together would be handy as hell a lot of times.

Also. Did some research. From what I can see in pics the only difference between the Apache C1 and SC are shock towers and the front nose piece on the buggy along with the spare tire.

I really like the cage on the SC8e BUT I really like the solid one-piece aluminum arms along with all the other aluminum parts on the Apache SC..

Thinking about selling the Jato and getting an Apache SC and buying an SC8e cage to go on it, and maybe eventually get the parts to convert to a C1 if I wanted to.

Oh, and the Apache platform is soon going to offer a small gas engine, yes?

    seriously?

I have been looking at them for a while wishing they were out. it seems to me they will be easier to deal with, rather than having to deal with nitro fuel.

I still prefer electric too much to go to gas... Besides, that may interfere with the SC8e cage fitting.

    Yeah.
Dang, did that thing have vacuum tubes in it? My first one was wiper-style, and it was crap, but that thing is HUGE.

It's not the size of magnetron. It's the ratio of wattage per cubic feet or something likethat.

    Why thank you....

No, wait. My first was a wiper, not even the neater 'slot car style' that AE used. That was just my first ESC, and while I'm pretty sure it didn't have tubes, it WAS however, a non solid state switching unit. Through the throttle curve you could hear it click/switch in steps, which it only had eight, if I recall correctly.

From what I've read, that is the probable release date. HPI/Hot Bodies isn't the best when it comes to releasing things on time.

The benefits of the gas engine would be the need to not necessarily tune it, longer run times, and way cheaper fuel.

Me, I'll stay loyal to nitro.

Those are great tires! They hook up well, but don't last very long.

I've got some of those. Stay away from blacktop and they'll last you pretty good considering the compound.

My Slash and Blitz. The build quality of the Blitz puts the Slash to shame. Just holding the two in your hand, the Slash feels cheap and loose (if that makes sense) and the Blitz feels solid and sturdy (if that makes sense).

    ^^^Lolz

It's crazy how much taller those badlands are than other tires. Messes with my head.
