I'll prolly just "try" to hold off on a 1/8 scale until I land a job, (I "think" I'm about to have an offer). I've got a Colt M4 that I could turn, and come out like a champ on, but.... I've sold off a few high-end automatic knives (MicroTech) from my collection, that I all ready regret.

You guys need to meet this friend of mine that thinks he's gonna put a mamba monster in his 2wd SC10... He also thinks that if he just runs his current setup on 55C lipo (instead of his current 40C) It's going to make it waaay faster.

I think his plan is to just close his eyes and throw money at it until he can drive better than me.

Me as well, posed to go out to the track again on Fri. I hope I'm offered to burn a couple of batteries through those X-Rays. As posted above, my buddy has already caved, I MUST resist...

He also got butthurt because his truck wouldn't do wheelies. I told him to tighten his slipper clutch down and it would wheelie all day long. He said he didn't know how...

He's always been that way, though. Last summer I bought an old, ragged out Z400 for $700. Put a little work into it and started laying down some pretty hot lap times. He goes out and buys (daddy's money ) an LTR450R for like $6,000 and pays the shop to put another $1,000 worth of parts into it. Fatass didn't catch me once...

I'll see if I can find and older one. My cousin borrowed it a week or so ago, and it's still at his Pawn Shop. He has a ton of LEOs in and out of there, and has shown it to them, that's were the offers have come from. I hadn't even considered selling until then. Got a Yankee-Hill (IIRC) alloy quad rail, vertical fore grip with tactical light (O-Light) pressure pad. Laserlyte micro laser, DPMS palmswell grip, and Bushnell HALO sight.

Oh, I also bought my Jato off of him. Now that I have it pretty much "like new" he wants it back. Another guy already offered me $200 for it. BUT, obviously, he's got money to blow.

What's your opinion on a 1/8 scale buggy? For some reason I like those X-Ray models (maybe cause the're the first I've really driven for any time) Losi8 looks sweet have not driven it (truggy) buddy doing the conversion now, maybe it'll be ready by Fri. The Hot Bodies seemed to bullet proof, I can buy it for a good price, but I want a buggy, not truggy. I've always had great luck with AE (yes, I'm a fanboy)

I "thought" I wanted a SC10, but after driving one and the Losi, I'm not all that impressed. Don't fly well, I hate all the body noise when landing hard, and the suspension don't seem up to the task, lots of bottoming, maybe it was just the setup of the couple I drove.

Lol, I looked through some of your pics the other night, and saw the pics of the Spikes, how do you like it? How's the quaility? I also noticed it had the select fire position on the selector, is that for real?
