sky lipos are made by the same company that makes gens ace.

i have their hard case lipos, never had any experience with soft packs though

they have a hard case 5000mah 30c in stock. I have this battery and have had no problems with it. Do you absolutley need 40c? if so why?

A friend of mine has had good luck with his 2S packs from TheHobbyPeople. Kinda pricey though, I think.

So, just got back from bashing with a few friends of my dad's. (Yes, really)

One has a Jato 3.3 the other has a Slayer with the 3.3.

My SC10 left them sitting in the gravel until it topped out. :D

Can't wait to get this thing geared right.

    Too many to list

A lil bit outta my price range at the moment, iv read good things about venom tho.

I also havnt had any experience with solf lipo packs, but after checking hobby partz again form the link you posted, they had the gen ace 3s 5000mah 40c in stcok . I bought one to run when i get the mmp combo in my truck, 40c isnt needed, I just have a feeling I will want one sooner or later so I went with it. I know with my 2s packs, since I started running a 40c, I never use my 25c and 30c packs.

Id say ur safe for speed runs and gear it up. I would run 3s for normal bashing

Most people on other forums are saying with my motor I should just stick to 2S and gear it up. Apparently you can gear these 4pole castles to the moon.

Depends on the kv. But you could gear it up on 2s. 19t and 22t pinions on my 4300kv 4pole toro is a night and day difference imo

    It's 3800kv. Right now I think it's 16/87. Still waiting on 18t pinion.

I'm running the same spur as you (associated) you should order a 22T pinion. You will definitely have some fun lol

    Yeah.
Guys, be careful! Shick these days is amazing, but laws of physics still apply.

Think about it. Just like in a regular car, some smaller motors might run up to 8K RPM just fine, but if you try to start out in 3rd gear there is a price to pay. Throw some NO2 at it, it may get going faster, but higher price to pay.

That said, watch your temps on the motor, speed control, battery ,and in some cases wiring, connectors, everything else in between, and you should be fine.

Just be sure to take video and share.

My electronics and batteries never hot enough to where I can't hold on to them with my hand. I should get a temp gun to see how cool they actually run though

whuchu talkin bout? I ain't runnin no NOS on mah truck.

But really. As torquey as this motor is I wouldn't hestitate to run 22t on it. I've got a 19 off of an emaxx I might try. I don't think it will fit and mesh right, though.

Appears to be 32 pitch? I think my spur is 48 pitch? Means it wouldn't work, right?

Yeah don't run 32p with 48p you'll ruin ur spur. Check ebay for some robinson racing pinion packages.

That's what I figured... I meant to order an 18T but was sent a 10T... Can't use that. Gonna send it back. How high should I got? Higher than 18T? I want something that I won't have to constantly switch out. More top end while retaining that low-end zip.

Well with 22t pinion I can still pull wheelies and it has a higher top speed so I like it a lot. You can try out a 21t or 22t and see how that goes

Hmmm are our transmissions geared the same? If so I'm thinking 20 or 21

As far as pinion and spur it would be the same. Not sure about the internal gears though.
