    agreed

I've got a funny story about not wearing safety glasses and using a Dremel with a cut-off wheel.

I was cutting the side dams off a 1/8th wing for a science project and nearly had a glob of molten nylon go into my eye.

I'm picking up my first rc tomorrow. It's a Losi Mini 8ight. I work with a couple guys that are in to them pretty big and they talked me into buying one...lol I just remeber how much fun they were as a kid and where I'm working now, there is a place that has three different types of tracks. So well see how it goes.[IMG]

You should probably go ahead and plan on picking up some extra shock caps and shock savers. I've got a good buddy who had problems with his. Put traxxas shock caps on (a little beefier) and shock savers. Hasn't had any problems. I guarantee you'll break something in the 1st week of having it, and that'll probably be it.

I'm thinking about saving up for AE's new SC10GT and building it up, instead of getting a new Truggy right away (its gonna be damn expensive).

SC10GT is gonna be $370, if I do end up getting one I'm going to get new wheels and tires, new radio, convert to bump start, and a new body

    http://www.amainhobbies.com/product...-1-10-Scale-RTR-Nitro-Short-Course-Race-Truck

and the Truggy I was looking at is going to be around $600 for the kit and that isn't including the 200 for the engine, 200 for servos, 100 for the starter box, 100 for wheels and tires, 100 for the engine warmer, 200 for a new radio

Haha, yea. You'll find out pretty quick (just as I did) by some miracle or maybe just the magic of TW this thread is more helpful than a lot of entire rc forums. This thread is sometimes just us bullshittin around, but we like to help each other out, too!

Like I said, A very good friend of mine has a mini 8ight and he's got all kinds of upgrades on it. They're badass little buggies, and for the most part pretty tough. Aftermarket support is still in it's R&D stages with a lot of things, mostly aluminum parts. I'll see if I can snap a few pics of it in the next few days.

Also... If you're not hurting for money I would suggest going ahead and getting some lipo batteries and charger instead of wasting your money on NiMH batts.
