sounds like that 1415 is just way too much for that slash.... It's probably safe to say that motor would do well in a 1/8th 4wd

I dont think its too much, dont think you could go any bigger tho. I blame myself for today, should have read up on mip stuff, I would have known to heat sink or shoe goo the pin in. Once I get it all straight it should be alot better, the protrac kit helped a ton with handling and keeping it on 4 wheels with the new power.

Got my robinson racing idler and hot racing diff case in the mail today. (Wasn't expecting them till monday, woot!) Put the truck back together and managed to get the diff a good bit tighter. Absolutely crammed grease in there. Took it for a test run on the track. I noticed that all of that extra metal really added some weight to the rear. Everything seems a bit tamer and smoother. Not sure if I like it or not... Now I need some rear shocks that I can really tune (and not break.)

    Quiet in here today...

After some research, the vxl system just isnt quite enough to push the exo the way im gonna want it. Thinking about picking up either a tekin rx8 with pro 4 setup, or a mmp 3800kv setup, or say screw it amd get another mmp 2400kv setup like whats in my slash.

All setups have good results, what are yalls input?

I really like my sidewinder SCT combo. My truck is 2wd, but it's intended for 4x4 trucks, really. They come with built in fans on the ESC and you get a fan/shroud to put on your motor if you so choose. All for about $130.

Looks like a good bang for your buck, I could always upgrade the esc to the mmp if I wanted to down the road.

Yea. A lot of people run a tenshock motor in their exo. It's either the SC401 or SC411. Might look into that, too. :notsure:

Did a quick search, seems to be a decent motor, I think I will stay with castle or tekin tho.
