Buddy of mine discovered some kind of "webbing" paint at the LHS today. I'm thinking my next body will have this in the stripes...

The best I recall, you can "sorta" control the webbing by how much the can is shaken.

It almost looks like you could just take some paint and drip it or fling it on there. Mask everything up, leave the stripes exposed. Do the splatter/webbing, then paint the stripes, then paint the rest of the body, yeah?

I'm sure you could. It would be messy. You can produce almost the same effect with bagging, just use a looser crumbled bag.

Fear, where was that last vid you posted from, do you know? It looks just like a track over in Cullman AL. I went and watched the pro guys there year before last, missed it last year.

That was from Neo12, it was held in London.

Are you talking about the Alabama Manufactures Shootout Race?

Not really sure what it was called, they've held it for three or so (maybe more) years. Usually in early June. I understand that a track view from the surface is misleading, but that footage looks just like the Cullman track. A quick check shows your correct.

Hey sock, do you thin the castle 3800kv combo with the sidewinder esc will be enough to power the exo? Im having doubts on if i should even try it.

I got a hitec high torque metal gear servo for it, just need to decide on the motor and im ready to run mine.

    too much

i don't have any clue on motor systems.
i have a Novak Ballistic 4.5t on a Tekin RX8 ESC and it runs very fast.
that is what i know about modern brushless stuff.

back 15 yrs ago i was building/tweaking battery packs, cutting modifying brushes, and adjusting timing on custom motors, but this new stuff is way over me.

I've been running that sidewinder SCT in my 2wd SC10 for a while now and it's been running cool as a cucumber. Even with an overtray on it. The new revised SCT sidewinder like mine comes with a fan built into the ESC and a fan shroud for the motor when running it on a 4wd setup. There's doubt in my mind that it would run cool in an exo, I'm just not sure if it would be fast enough for you. Granted, it'll be a helluva lot more controllable than your slash...

I missed it, went back and watched it, dosnt seem too hard. I may pick up a sr3000 and put it in the boat i just bought, it seems like it would make more sense since if those batterys get to low, it could shut down in the middle of a lake, haha

No problem, the 4.5t and rx8 is a great setup, alot more power then what I was planning on running.

Mines not the newer one, it just has a fan for the motor. I know it takes a bit more power to run a 4x4, I know it will ru nthe exo, just dont know if it will be enough. I want it to be quick but not too fast like my slash, haha.

I have everything I need to put the exo together, just dont wanna have to pull it all apart cause its too slow.

Well girls and boys, I joined the club this evening, the 1/8 scale 4x4 buggy club that is. I aquired a X-Ray 808e with a Tekin RX8, and 2050kv motor, Savox servo, and even had a Spectrum reciever.
