It runs fine, but needs some fiddling with to suit my driving style. The front end needs some alignment tweaks, the camber and toe is all goofy (positive, and out) maybe even some attention in the shocks, maybe as simple as oil weight swap, just not sure at this point. I got it and ran two packs through it as it was, not bad, but I think I can tune it to fit me a little better. It ain't no T4!!!!

you want the front toe to be out, as it allows the buggy to turn better, and the rear toe to be slightly in

I've actually read that before, not sure it needs to turn in better, and I do understand the idea behind it. Rear toe is in (I'd guess 3 degrees or so). Answer me this then, two buddies have just built AE Factory Team RC8.2e models, ALL linkages were prebuilt from factory and are set up with a couple of degrees of toe in on the front tires.

Thats odd, as that would limit off power turn in

The only reason I can think of why they would do that is to put understeer into the car, so new drivers will drive slower, as the car will not be able to turn in well

I drove one of those as well tonight, it handled like a dream (now this is a brand spanking new model, first time on our track). Yes, you all know I'm a AE fanboy. lol

I understand this is apples to oranges, you can't really compare 2wd to 4wd, but with toe out, or even neutral or a "square" adjustment my T4 and J82 both "wander" on the straights. I didn't notice this on the X-Ray. Are there many "new drivers" starting out with the FT kits?

That might be due to a caster issue, and also the that that with 4wd vehicles the front wheels are pulling it down the straight

Also if your track has short straights and tight corners, I'd look into getting an overdrive front diff gear or underdrive for the rear. It'll give you more exit speed

    "new racers" ;)

Yeah, I know you can't compare the two, seems I run 30 degrees caster blocks on my other models. The overdrive, or underdrive diff gear sounds right up my ally, as our track is prolly a little small for 1/8 scale, (all we've ever ran was 1/10 stuff). So, help me understand this diff gear swap, I'm I basically gonna be "dragging" my ass end around? Some of our turns are tight. I keep saying I'll post some vid, but when I'm there I never think of it.

The tenshock 411 is really popular with a lot of exo guys. Might look into that?

I think I've decided to get the ofna and then slowly convert my SC10 to a T4, perhaps?

Fucking embarrassing!!!! I actually started cleaning out my shop a while back, and made good progress, never got to my bench. Now I just wallow out a spot when I have a project.

Just went to RC10.com and read over ever RC8.2e team members set up sheets, seems depending on track conditions, they run from -1 to +1 degrees of toe in the front.
