It doesn't get hot enough. I've used my gramps' before, worked great. 25 watts just isn't enough. And there isn't anywhere that sells them in town.

No Walmart in the county. K-Mart doesn't sell them. My only choices at the hardware stores are 20 bucks for a 6W battery powered that they claim gets 900*F or a 75W soldering gun for 60 bucks....

I have had Revo 3.3, emaxx and axial scx-10.
Missed having one so got back in it with axial wraith kit:D.
Just curious if any one has any tips on build or upgrades should do first?
And good esc motor combo for more trail/crawling

I would go all aluminum links, I broke the plastic crap in 3 days. I would go with a Hi-tech servo, I broke the AS-2 servo that came with it in 4 days.

I would throw the battery up front helps with crawling.

The motor is ok. I fried mine in a couple weeks. I would recommend Holmes Hobby for a brush motor.

Other then that it is a lot of fun.

That's right. It is the kit you pick your electronics I would highly recommend Holmes hobby the combo pack with the water proof Bxl Esc and the 540 motor with a 25-35 turn.
The more turns the more torque. Less more speed.

I actually have the stock radio and receiver I could sell to you which is a really good set up.

    Let me know

Others will disagree, but I think there all pretty close to the same "brand" wise. Look for proper "C" rating for your application, and the Mah that suits your needs.

Politics in a one horse town, dude.

If I want to go to walmart there's one 15-20 minutes in one direction and 30 minutes in the other.

But... do they have soldering irons that are worth a shit? There's a hobby lobby 30 minutes away, might look there..

Quick question for the pros... Got my son a Axial AX10 Scorpion RTR for xmas, was out playing with it this past weekend and after recharging the battery now the steering is non responsive. Almost like it's not getting any sort of signal at all. Still goes forward / reverse no problem. Ideas?????

I was say Hooby Lobby, but guessed if no Walmart, there'd be no HL. I have one from there that kicks ass. It's not for small work (I have another for that). It's a 100 watt heavy tip for stained glass work, less than $20.00.
