It's not required though, right? I can just leave it programmed as-is? I don't need anything real crazy. I have yet to really dislike anything about the stock ESC.

I will probably go ahead and get the Castle Link though. No reason not to.

Which motor would you recommend from them? Again, I have yet to really dislike anything about the stock motor. I simply haven't driven it enough to form an opinion yet.

Well, looks like my vxl system is screwed up :(

I dont have a clue as to what happened to it, it ran perfect when I took it out my slash, it never cogged, always was cool to the touch. It cogs bad in my stampede, has no power and tops out at id guess 7mph

Guess I need a new motor system, anyone wanna recommend a decent setup for 2s? id like to be able to run mid to upper 30s.

Either the crawlmaster pro or the torque master. Either are good. I got both. Just remember if you want speed go for a 25t and if you want slow unstoppable crawling go for the 55t.

    Nice! Thanks for the input.

Any idea how big of a pain it is to remove the tranny on these things? That is the only thing I haven't waterproofed yet and I'm thinking about tackling it...

definitely need a 4 pole system for the 4x4 monster trucks. especially with those big wheels you got on there. might wanna get like a caslt e4 pole system or even might wanna try out a toro 4x4 sc 4 pole system.

i have a toro 4600kv 4x4 sc 4pole motor paired with a brushless hobbies 120a esc and it absolutely rips on 2s!

Anyone know of a cheap transmitter/receiver combo? My 1/16 project is in need and I spend enough on my sct, no need to dump serious cash on that little thing

It's rumored there will be a overhaul on AE buggy line before long. Not sure why, at least nitro as Mayfield lapped everyone at least TWICE (Tebow) was second place two down at the AMS 3.0.

How many channels do you want? TowerHobbies has some of their own brand radio systems for cheap.

I wouldn't doubt it AE 1/8th Nitro line is getting old...

Mayfield could drive a Nitro powered brick and still win a race
