Got my heli fixed! read through the manual and found a "training mode" makes things less sensitive. Helped me out a lot.

    I CAN FLY NOW!

It's amazing what you will find in an instruction manual, if you'll take the time and read through it.

Anybody care to help a LiPo noob out? See below - this was posted over on RCC which is kind of dead during the day.

It's quite noticeable when you set the battery down on a flat surface, you can rock it back and forth. I've tried squeezing it a little bit to see if I can get any air to come out and nothing...probably because I siliconed the shit out of it.

Just want to be sure this thing isn't going to explode one day. It hasn't gotten any worse, at least that I can tell and I've probably put it through three cycles since I first noticed it.

    Thanks for the help!

I doubt the silicone had/has any effect on the swelling. The hard case is not airtight and in place as a puncture barrier only. The cells inside are in foil pouches that ARE sealed, this is where the swelling is happening. I can't say why that one pack has issues, but I've got one that's swollen a bit as well, it was never treated any differently than the other packs. It still runs/charges fine but takes for ever to balance. Keep a eye on it, you'll be fine.

This one doesn't behave any different than the others when balancing, right around 72 minutes after a decent run.

I guess I'll just be even more diligent about keeping it in the LiPoSack when I store/charge it. I just hope it doesn't explode while it's in the truck!

What I've found with my Gens Ace packs is pretty much:.. Some swell a little, some don't. They all work the same. :notsure:
