    I'm into R/C.

In addition to flying 'real' aircraft, I fly miniature turbine jet planes as well. Here's a video one of our buddies shot for us at an area airport last year, he's kind of a pro.... he does work for the Discovery Channel.

One of my jets is shown in the beginning of the clip... and at the 'tail shot' of a take off.

Trying to decide whether to pull the trigger on a Holmes Hobbies motor or not.

$75 for a brushed motor makes me cringe, but they are supposedly the best brushed motors on the planet.

I could go with the machine-wound motors for about $25-30 less but those just don't seem as good.

The most I have ever spent on a brushed motor is $20 so this is a leap for me.

You won't be disappointed. You should have got a combo when you got the esc to save money

I got the ESC through A Main using a gift card and they didn't offer the bundles. They had the motors separate, but it would be the same price as ordering them directly from Holmes.

Plus, I am going to ask them to solder the motor leads and bullet connectors on for me.

I agree though, the bundles are the way to go!

If I go with hand-wound, I can't decide if I want the TorqueMaster or the CrawlMaster.

What are your thoughts on hand-wound versus machine-wound? For just a weekend warrior like myself who doesn't do comps, do you think it's really worth the extra coin for the hand-wound?
