Yeah, his s/n on rcc is "AsILayDying".

He posed up some pics in the ridgecrest section. gonna mod the ridgecrest for his son.

 

Ahh - that's a different guy. JandG was there too and I think he posted some pics also. His Wraith is all jacked up but he met us just to chill and take pics/videos.

Great group of guys for sure.

AILD's son came out with us and drove his RidgeCrest for the first time - really cool to see him out there. He did great!

I have these three esc and motor combos, not sure which one is best, because two are Brushless. I dont know much about brushless.

I have wraith I like to do some rock crawling and trail driving with.
Originally Used FXR with 35t and liked it but would like little more speed for occasional burst of speed, While still able to crawl.
With stock gearing in Wraith
Here are the ESC/Motor combos I have

Tekin FXR ESC, 35t Brushed motor

TEKIN PRO ESC, 17.5 Brushless motor


AND Traxxas VXL-3s ESC/ 3500 brushless motor.

Anybody Used any of these motors or esc.

 

first attempt at painting my new color theme. could have too some more time on it but i think it turned out ok.

 

Looks good. Been kinda slow in here if you don't have crawler...

 

thanks! had a couple of spots on the masks not stay all the way down so i had some over spray in some areas. oh well lol

 

Using vinyl or masking tape mask?

 

masking tape mask i got from my local hobby shop. i wanna try vinyl

 

Both have there place. I take the round smooth end of a paint brush (not bristle end of course) and burnish any edges down right before I spray on masking tape. And the stuff from Lowes works just as good as the overpriced stuff from the hobby shop. Vinyl, I just turn a hair dryer on it for a minute and rub down any lifting edges, again right before spraying.

 

makes sense. i justed used the thin stuff from the lhs for the outlines then filled it in with blue painters tape.

Taco, what body is that, for a SC, correct? I'm guessing SC cause the rear shock tower "humps" don't appear right for a ST.

 

Yeah its a short course body.
