just got a shipment notification from Tekin saying my RX8 is coming back to me . 48 bucks to repair it. very happy with that im sooooo glad i didnt have to buy a new one.

just hit myself in the nuts with the micro sct. first run with the new lipo, and i found out real quick just how far it jumps now. misfortune aside, this thing is insane with the 7.4v!

 

Nice! Hints why I said no need to mess with 11.1v, haha

 

yeah, i see what you mean now. very controllable though, up until it ripped the tires off of the wheels.

sticker on the truck claims it can handle 11.1, but like you said, i'd probably only trust that for a couple of straight line runs at a time with some cool down in between. may just pick up a cheapo for shits and grins.

i'm addicted to the 7.4 though. gets about 12 minutes of full throttle run time with the 250mah pack. gonna buy a few more tomorrow.

No problem, im temped to convert the little 1/36 micro-t i got to brushless, seen some youtube vids of them running 30+mph on 2s .

 

cleaned my 8th scale after letting it sit for a few weeks lol

 

In the past I've had nitro tmaxx. Nitro rustler. Hpi rs4 MT electric. And last summer built and currently have a berg based comp crawler. Dual fxr escs flysky gt3c radio and receiver. 35turn brood hand wound motors. Castle bec. Custom skins. Custom front rear links. White dot rovers. Running 3 cell lipos. Xr10 shocks with alum caps. All rod ends are 4mm traxxas revo ends

 

i'm gonna trail mine in the truck with the gps on to get a sortof acrate speed reading. was going to tape my phone to it, but it just about bottoms out the suspension guessing it's running about 25mph with the 7.4 and a relatively small brushless motor. i don't doubt it (or a micro-t) could do 35mph with the upgraded motor and an 11.1. they even make a replacement chasis for the 1/24 sct that allows it to take a 1/18 scale brushless

 

Haha it will be badass with a 1/18 brushless setup! The micro-t sct is soo damn tiny, i only wanna see it do 30mph just on how small it is, dont really care much else about it.

Plus my gf wants to see it go fast, the stock form its only 5-6mph, i have a r/c gps thats made for mounting on r/cs, if i go brushless ill be sure to have that on it for speed runs.
