Idk, id say its definitely something in the esc. Eveyrthing on it working correct, no binding on anything? sounds lke the esc is overheating or doing into a shutdown for some reason.

different truck. all stock. just got it yesterday and haven't actually been able to run it yet do to this issue. think i'm just going to bring it back to the store an have them exchange it for a non defective one

the little truck is fine, just waiting for a new pinion. blew through that pretty fast with the lipo and a tight flywheel

1/10 helion. got it for a project truck. seen people build them to hit 80, so that's my goal.

which really means the esc is going to be replaced anyway, but i would like to be able to drive it in the mean time, before i tear into it wth new parts.

1/10 4x4 waterproof sct. comes brushed, so it's pretty inexpensive, which is why i got it. figured if the running gear was strong enough, why pay more for a big name when i'm just going to be replacing the electronics.....

i'll get some picures if i can get it running or exchanged. here are some google photos for the time being.

general concensus is they are not great out of the box, but are a good platform.

i won't be able to get back to the shop until monday, so between now and then i'm going to determine if i'm going to exchange it for a working one, or if i'm going to go with a different truck.

My boss brought in his losi 1/16 2wd brushless sct today though, and after driving it, even without a lipo, i can't stop thinking about getting one. i know it's a totally different truck at 1/16 scale and 2wd, but damn was it a fun truck. had to brag a little though when my 1/24 matched it in acceleration and almost kept up at top speed :D

so i have some decisions to make in the next day and a half......

I have a nitro Jato that I'm probably going to sell. It's a fun car. Got a new body for it so no pink no more.

Dont look too bad, should be a good build, I decided to do a rustler for its 2wd and simplicity to make go fast.

On another note, looks like ill have another r/c to put on the shielf

Guy in baltimore has a snow plow that he twisted up pretty good on a curb, seen my ad for welding barter on CL, says he has a traxxas emaxx with the mamba monster and tqi rtr with 2 lipos like new. He got for christmas and dont use it, i can fix the plow for just my time, so even if it takes 3-4hrs im still getting a truck that cost $700+ new with lipos for next to nothing.

i had a question guys....ive been thinking about getting a new r/c car....im down to spend around 500-700. im looking for a 4wd trophy truck style. ive always had traxxas what do you guys think i should get. size wise im looking for a 1/10 scale if possible maybe a 1/5 scale if i can find one around that price. the traxxas slayer pro looks pretty legit. what are your guys thoughts?

What are your main uses going to be? Will you be bashing or racing or both?

Id say go with 1/10 either way.

woops sorry mang, totally thought i said what i would be using it for. guess i deleted it when i was writing the other post.

ill be using it just for fun really around the campsite and out at the dunes and on the street when im not at the dez. maybe take it to a track every once in a while when i have the time. but mainly for fun. ive always been a traxxas kinda guy but willing to branch out. has everyone switched over to electric powered trucks, or is gas still the way to go. i used to have a revo and loved it being gas...iv seen the new e -revos but im not a fan.
