the majority of the guys in this thread run electric. the new traxxas slash with the lcg chassis sounds like it would be perfect for what you want to do with it. Ive seen a few guys at the track with them and traxxas cars are always durable.

any chance you know the difference between the slayer pro 4x4 and the slash?

besides that one is 2x4 and the there is 4x4. im definitely looking for a 4x4 i think.

the slayer is nitro and the slash 4x4 is a brushless electric truck.

they also have different shock set ups. they lay down like the revo on the slayer and the slash has traditional up and down shocks. the slayer also uses different wheels. slash 4x4 parts are more readily available than the slayer parts.

    Stay away...

If you want a nitro 4x4 SC truck get the Losi TEN-SCT Nitro

    because the platform sucks...

and plus the Losi is built of a winning chassis and has tons of aftermarket support

This body isn't made for this car at all (used to be for an electric), I drilled a few more holes and only mount it in the front. I rarely use the body though so I haven't even cut a motor and air vent yet.

i have a question for you guys i have a team associated sc10 4x4 and i went to use my car the other day after not using it for about a month and it works fine for about 10 seconds then i lose all control no steering or throttle and there is a light that blinks on the back of the controller that says Binding sw, there is a red button next to the light but it doesent do anything when i press it the only thing that i did was change the batteries in my remote

platform? like the chassis ? the trl 1/10 scale is sick. thanks for the options.

checked out some other peoples views on the losi 1/10 scale and seems they had problems right outta the box....

    yep the chassis...

I'd get the Losi, ditch the ROSS, get a proper back plate for the engine and a starter box

The Slayer is bigger than most 1/10 SC truck, whereas the Losi is the exact same size as its electric cousins

With any nitro RTR there are gonna be issues.

thats what i kinda liked about the slayer is that it is a bit bigger. ive always had traxxas vehicles and ive had my fair share of problems as well but like everything its live and learn. its just hard to break away from nt getting a traxxas. the losi is about 100 buck cheaper which is nice.

I'd stay away from anything Traxxas.

Always had bad luck with them....

If I was buying I'd get the Losi and then get TLR's tuning kit.

With the Losi you can run aftermarket wheels and bodies
