    Proline Badlands.
    Nope not yet. I'll try to soon.

    The suspension actually cycles completely. I just have to trim a bit for them to tuck underneath the body. I have FLM LT arms comming in tomorrow, So we'll see how it does. I may end up selling the tires, though, they're a little bigger than I expected.

    Woah, so those are just the factory replacement badlands? Not meant for a bigger truck?

    I may have to pick one of those SC10s up - I just watched about 10 videos of them on YouTube and I actually like them better than the Slashes for some reason.

    My thinking also. Slash seems geared toward bashing, SC10 more for the track/racing scene. That, and I can prolly build a RC10 (what the SC s built around) with my eyes closed, and already have a wheelbarrow full of support parts, even have an extra Novak brushless system I'm not using. Maybe ole Sandy Balls will hook me up.

    Like i said before, my SC10 is tougher than woodpecker lips. It's pretty quick, too. I don't have any experience with the slash but seeing as it sits a bit higher off of the ground I can't imagine it would handle better. If you're gonna stay away from grass the SC10 is a really great truck. Parts are plentiful and there's a big racing community for them.

    Slash = Bash

    SC10 = Race

    SC10's are nowhere near as tough as a Slash or Blitz (my personal fave), but they do have better handling due to the lower ground clearance, it's more on par with the Blitz when it comes to that department.

    Here's a review of both.

    Kinda what I was thinking. It seems that's the whole Traxxes line, tough as hell and fast, just not really a true "race" model. I'm not trying to be a dick, that's just the way I see things, let the flames begin.

    had an "i am such a dumbass" moment last night.

    i was changing connectors on my new battery packs....
    first pack went good. snip, snip, solder, solder.

    second pack.
    (set up) kids asking homework questions, tv noise, dinner plate next to me smelling good.

    i grab the battery pack and proceed to snip (single snip across both wires) :eek:
    knew what i did the micro second before.... SPARK!!!
    the wires got fairly, not super, hot and i threw it into a lipo bag.

    FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!

    :goingcrazy:
    :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::frusty::frusty::frusty::pout:

    i go ahead and finish connector soldering, check voltage...3.7v on first cell (yay!)....second cell 3.2v (crap!!!!)

    i am hoping that some magic lipo gnome will grant this a successful charge at some point, but i have a gut feeling that i wil have to buy another pack.

    Damn - that sucks.

    Which one do you like better, just from your initial impression, the direct or non-direct version?

    Will your charger recognize the pack when you attempt to charge? How about a balance charge. My bud has drained a pack down below a safe voltage, (using a lightbulb discharged). He told an old ni-cad charger, turned it to trickle and forced enough voltage into the cell, until his li-po charger would charge it. If you attempt this, do so outside and in a safe location.

    And that don't sound like "the smartest raccoon I know" to me. J/k that's my favorite of that whole line of adds.

    Pretty much. I only bash, not race, so the Slash was perfect for me. I didn't want something that was gonna be delicate. I've had my Slash for over a month now and haven't broken a thing. A cool thing about the Slash, you can buy a LCG kit and it will handle just as good as any SC10 or Blitz.

    Not sure, My new FLM wide arms come in today, gonna mount everything up and see how they fit.

    I'll be sure to let you know if they don't work out for me.

    i got my new Gen Ace 5000mah 40C battery connections wired up and charged for my slash 4x4. first time i hit the throttle on carpet it pulled the front tires off the ground. im pretty impressed except now i have a hell of a time turning and keeping it on the wheels. i brought it to work and ran up a nice gradual gravel pile wide open, sent it end over end cartwheeling a good ten feet till it hit a dumpster with no damage (these things can take a beating). that same gravel pile with the stock battery it barely stretched the suspension. i just need to learn how to hold back a little now

    ^ Those batteries pack a punch! It will wheelie less if you loosen the slipper a bit, thats what I had to do. Unless you like driving it that way.
