Clean looking buggy. My brother in-law got a slash and it is pretty fast but I prefer nitro since I dont race and like to tinker. Here is a pick of my RC10GT2 with new body, tires, and wheels.

That looks like the same motor/esc i just put in my short course truck. 3800kv?

you have to detune the brakes? mine does front flips when i apply full brake at anything over 20 mph even with the low COG.

Nope its the 2400 kv. 550 4pole. Torque monster I only run 3s 11-54. Gearing and it never gets hot.

How in the hell do you keep the front wheels on the ground? haha

I run the same setup in my slash and it dont like keeping the front wheels on the ground with 21/54 on 3s, iv ran up to 25/54 on 3s and 4s without any heat issues also, the 2400 and mmp can take some high gearing without a issue.

where's a good place to order parts to custom make links for a rock crawler? i'm putting together parts to 4-wheel steer my crawler. was going to just order stock replacements to make it easy, but a few of the parts i need are out of stock, so custom it is.

need to build two links. 80mm eye to eye for the push rod, and 205mm eye to eye for the tie rod.

local hardware store for most of it and pick up a few sets of traxxas revo rod ends.

I made some for my dads ax10, got some 8/32 threaded rod and 1/4" stainless tude from the local hardware store, cut the stainless tube to length (account for your rod ends) get a 8/32 tap and tap the tube, then just cut some 1" or so lengths of the 8/32 rod, thread it into the rod ends then the remaining into the stainless tube and your done.

You can also just get some 8/32 rod and slide it all the way through a aluminum/stainless/ti tube, basically using the tube as a spacer. I prefer the tapping method tho.

I don't have to much of a wheelie issue with the 1/8 scale buggy wheels as I did the stock ones

No shit your running that high of a gearing with no heat issues

I don't race. 80% bash and 20% go to the track. So the low gearing gives me massive torque. And decent speed

With 15/54. I worry about heat and its stupid fast hard to handle I haven't gotten to take it to the track with the lcg chassis yet. Hopefully this week

    Anything else worth getting

I'm thinking of putting the xo-1 cvds on next

Im also a 100% basher with all my r/cs

I dont have much as far as aluminum except hubs and kingshead motor mount, I run mip cvds front and back and havnt had a issue, was snapping stock ones every run. I would highly recommend the proline protrac kit, it makes handeling sooo much better esp running 60mph+, i am also running proline powerstrokes front and back. i mainly run trenchers for all my bashing, it wheel stands like nobodys business, have my tx programmed set to 50% punch so its not as bad, much easier to control.

I do get hot running 4s depending on how hard im running or how hot the weather is outside.

I basically only run gen ace and sky lipos. have had awesome luck with them and you cant beat the price.

Picked up another rustler today from a kid in my neigborhood. it started out a older vxl model, has a tacon 3650 3200kv 2 pole, sidewinder v2 esc, rpm front bumper and front body mount, no wheels or body but i only paid $60 for it, figured i could use the parts as spares for my other one..

Gome some new wheels, body and some rpm goodies for the rustler.

Also my 1/18 mad beast came in, neat little truck, tossed some aa's in the tx and tested it out, pretty quick for in the house running.
