Well I have never owned a wraith but I used to run with some guys who had them, I have a ridgecrest (almost the same). The wraith is a more capable crawler hands down but for the best of both worlds or a better go fast crawler the twin hammers has it. if you have had the wraith and loved it go for it, you really cant go wrong with either. There is much more aftermarket parts for the wraith but the twin hammers has alot on the way from some big venders.

The twin hammers will need a new shift servo out the box but other then that its a good rtr, a brushless setup would be a great upgrade aswell.

Yeah I know about the servo issue. Aftermarket is a big thing for me as well. If I break something and want to upgrade I want to have options. I was planning on going brushless in my last wraith but the twin hammers would def handle better. I don't like that it's not locked up front either. I know you can get a locker or use putty but still. I basically want both, but in one truck haha. I want to slow down and do some crawling but I also want to haul ass around too.

Front locker is like $8 for it, I just used silly putty in mine for now. My opinion is still the twin hammers, its a better platform for having both worlds, aftermarket support is pretty much going to be the same for both, MIP is in the process of making stuff for the twin hammers, blue monkey has some stuff out already.

As I said you cant go wrong with either

Ahhh I hate decisions! They both have killer looks too imo. I wish the twin hammers was bigger too.. and ran 2.2's :p

I think I'll go back with the wraith and save to go brushless. I've made a deal with a guy to pick one up for $360. It has 6-7 packs through it, has metal lower links, comes with a 5000 mah 2s lipo, onyx 235 charger. I have an onyx 245 (dual lipo charger) so I figure I can get $50 back for selling it. What do you think. Good deal?

Dont look too bad with 2.2s

Dont sound like a bad deal on the wraith, is it a rtr or kit?

I like this video of the TH :D

It's the rtr version. I think I am going to get the Twin Hammers now haha. I am still so back and forth. I like the 2.2's but I'd have to figure out the gearing needed.

And I love that video too! I actually saw some posts from you on rccrawler lol. I browse around over there but haven't made a profile.

For a rtr its a "ok" deal since it has the chargers and lipo, if it was a kit it may have been a better deal. I would take a twin hammers over it.

Im on a ton of r/c forums, dont post much on any

I've been out of the game for a few months...what's the scoop on the Twin Hammers?

People seem to love it! Most want a locker for the front, which you can get. And everyone has an issue with the shift servo burning up. EPA's aren't set correctly from the factory. Overall it looks like a solid rig. It's pretty small for a 1/10 though.

Awesome rig, i managed to get about 20 packs through mine on the stock shift servo before it burnt up. Other then that a rear sway bar is a must, throw a locker up front and its a decent crawler.

just finished piecing this 2wd slash together for my daughter. I sourced all the parts from craigslist other than the motor and esc (co worker). Total build I have less than $140 put into it. Not bad at all!
