Just picked these guys up tonight. They came with some strange chargers that I've never seen before or know how to use. They seem to be in really good shape. the red one need a bottom rod to hold the lower A-arm in place and it will be good to go. The blue one... is making an electric noise standing still and not moving any of the controls. It also seem like its grinding a bit and it doesn't seem to be fully unlocked. How much do you think this lot is worth?

    Thanks,

Hard to tell without knowing all the facts but assumeing there both bone stock rtr id guess the red one should bring $300-$350 easy, blue one can bring around $300 dedepending on what's gone weather its the trans, esc or just some servos. If you sell them together you would be around $500. All my estimates are on the lower side.

how much are you wanting to get out of them?

Both are RTR with extra batteries, DC converter, chargers and a body. Not looking to sell them just yet but I may end up selling one or trading it for something different. I cannot believe the difference in new battery powered RCs compared to past electric RCs. These things have come a long way!

Where do yall recommend buying parts from? I usually shop tower hobbies but ebay seems to be really good as well.

    Thanks,

    howdy,

i have been out of this hobby for at least 10 years, but am thinking about getting back into it.

Thinking about buying an electric car. I use to use those NICAD batteries and they sucked. I hear everything now is lithium ion!

I had some gas hpi cars that were really fast, but don't want to deal with all that mess anymore.

Can you guys recommend a good platform start with for an electric street car? Thinking HPI again. How fast are these things now a days?

li-po and 100 plus mph. Don't know too much about street cars but traxxas seems to be ok. They break a lot though.

I love my traxxas, and they don't really break all that much, as long as you aren'y stupid with them.....I break mine a decent amount, but I think trying to go over an 8 inch curb with full throttle is stupid with it.

I do all sorts of stuff to mine, only thing that is really any worse for wear is the body and the rear wing which is cracked (and won't be replaced). I run a 1/16 E-revo VXL (brushless), not with LiPos though, I've seen them do standing backflips with the LiPos, mine does 30-35 with NiMH batteries (I have 6 of them and run dual batteries for run time)

    If I did it again, I wouldn't get the mini e revo, I would get a 1/10 scale 4x4, like a 4x4 stampede or e-revo

on a side note, when the heck did traxxas come out with a quad-rotor?

I know there's no magic number, but what's everyone like as far as KV rating for a brushless motor for a 1/10 4x4 buggy?

i'm happy with the 3800kv i put in the short course truck, but i'm not sure what i should go with the the buggy.

Someone posted last page I think that they were selling a ridgecrest. Not much of a scaler though. Scx10 would be a good one. I just bought my old wraith back. Love the look and size of them. I wanna do a backhalfed hilux with mine!

So we took the Summits out today to do some field testing. We really like these trucks! they are an absolute blast and my son was knocking down small brush with his haha. I really enjoyed watching him bash around his summit and he couldn't get enough. Now I just need to get some longer lasting batteries. Current running the stock 3000mah NiMh.

By far the best batterys you can buy for the summit is the spc 8200mah 2s, you will get over an hour of bashing time with 2 of them.

Didnt like the body my rustler came with, got a traxxas pro graphics one, decided to paint it with plasti dip today, like how it came out.

Really like how traxxas does the pro graphic bodys, makes it soo much better for people like me who cant paint, i only had to paint the blue. :D

Haha I do have a few.. Thats the main reason I have the rustler, if I throw the mamba monster in I will need alot of aluminum upgrades so I dont rip it apart just trying to run it.
