So, I've been wanting to get into RCs but I can't decide what kind I want. I like the idea of crawlers but they all seem expensive and the mini or micros seem like a joke.

Then there is the Short coarse trucks like the slash. I could get a 1/16 for about $200 or the e-revo style is my other choose. I don't want to put too much money into this Incase I don't like it much.

    Any suggestions?

my collection has 2 micros in it that I have a great time with.

micro scaler crawler, and a micro sct that'll do 25 mph. granted a pebble is pretty devastating at that point, but it's definitely a blast

turns out a 25 mph 1/24 scale is really fun in a skate park. you can launch it 20 ft in the air, and it's so light, that when it lands on it's lid from that height, nothing breaks lol.

yeah, i have a blast with the 1/10 short course and 1/10 buggy at the skate parks. upsidedown landings just tend to cost a lot more :p

i really want to put some heavier weight oil in the summit's shocks and take it to a park. doing backflips up and off trees is already fun with the torque it has, so i can't imagine what it'd do on a vert ramp :D

typical price for just the quad and it's accessories (ready to fly) is $480 since the recent price drop.

i also have about $400 into the first person viewing station (got it used from a member on here, so it actually cost a good deal more new).

you also have to budget for extra batteries since one will only get you 8-10 minutes of flight time. i have 4 total, at about $30 a pop. and then there's the big waterproof case for it that costs about $100. highly recomend a case, both for protection, and ease of transportation.

so in total (without the go-pro) i've got about $1000 into it, not including spare parts and little odds and ends.

and since we were talking about micros....

i think i've posted these before, but now they are actually relevant lol
wheelbase is about 6 inches. tires are 1 inch tall, and it's not on aluminum beadlocks (real beadlocks)

and the 1/24 micro short course next to a very stock (gross right?) 1/10 short course.

took the summit out to a park about a mile from my new place for some crawling, on a steep canal bank. stumbled across one hell of a sunset, an realized that maybe my next RC should be a boat :D any recommendations????

probably only put 6 or 7 sets of batteries through the summit, but it is an absolute blast! I think a waterproof brushless system, some stronger steering servos, and some new wheels/tires will have this thing perfect.
