to be fair, you also have a lot more room to work with on the 8th scales.

what body is that. i was having one hell of a time tracking down 10th scale truggy bodies.

motor and ESC are still the stock stuff...so I shouldn't NEED to buy anything new unless one of the 2 crapped out...I have already concluded that the motor is fine

longer wheelbase certainly helps keep it clean. that's the hardeset part of this jato conversion. such a tiny chasis (both short and narrow), that things are going to be more cluttered than i'd like.

I loved the RC10. Hope you are able to get yours up quick. That sucks that it was destroyed. I want to get a roller and build another one. the Rival is a whole other animal but I think it will be good fun.

Michael, do you have any suggestions on a track tire for the front of a 2wd? first 2wd truck i've owned, so i'm at zero, as far as research and experience goes.

track i run at most is medium to hard pack dirt (not much clay in it), and typically very dry. it is, however, well maintained and smooth. need it for a 2.8 wheel. looking for grip, over longevity, since it's for the track. i have the stock set i can use for playing around.

yeah, i looked around online and in person when i was there. looking at a couple of houses with no grass in the back yard. if i get one of those, you can damn well bet that i'm building a track!

you know of any in the NoVa/dc area? i'm sure i'll be spending a lot of weekends up that way with my or the fiance's parents.

well this is better than nothing. guessing that Tina's will be the closest, and I go mountain biking in Gaithersburg, so a little detour may be in order.

the other option is that some of the houses i'm looking at have unfinished basements. open floor plan, with 700+ square feet of nothing. gotta see how Alexis feels about it, but that's just screaming indoor carpet track to me :D

Tinas has a outdoor dirt oval, 1/10 track and a sorry excuse for a crawler course, nothing is too good there but its something. The track and middle river have awesome setups.

Well if you get permission to do a carpet track going ill be more the happy to lend a hand, haha.
