Anyone into R/C?

Had some significant rain yesterday and earlier today, so the track was shut down this afternoon. The result was taking the truggy out and beating on it like a monster truck. thing takes a beating and grabs some pretty good air.

 

For it to be really scale they gotta fall out when you rollover

 

Gotta say, i'm very impressed with the durability of the slash. Friend of mine has a 4x4 slash. it's the "ultimate", which comes with a couple of aluminum goodies. he's newer to the hobby, and hasn't quite mastered the whole airborne car control thing yet. this is from the same spot as the pictures i posted yesterday. he lawn darted it quite a few times, and never broke a thing. some serious suspension/chasis deflection in the second picture...

lol the track dries up very quickly. it has a ton of clay in it and doesnt hold moisture that well when its hot and sunny outside. its a hole different story at night though

 

i wish out good track had some more clay in it. mostly just red dirt, so when it gets fry, it turns into a dust bowl. gotta turn on the sprinklers every 10-15 minutes to be able to see through the dust. the morning after a night of light rain though is perfect.

 

Anyone interested in some Proline "Big Joes"? in great shape, all glued up to some 3.8'' wheels. wheels have 17mm hubs.

set of 4 goes for about $90 brand news (wheels and tires). looking to get $50 shipped.

That's awesome. guess they hold up a little better when you're always running groomed dirt.
