I'm on quite a few, ones i can remember.. rctech, rc groups, traxxas, offshore electrics, I'm mainly on rc crawler.

 

If I ever get into stadium or buggy stuff, I'm having you paint me a body Mike! Body's look awesome as usual

got these cool containers to hold some of my tires.

 

took a few of the vehicles to my folks place for thanksgiving all of the children in the extended family could play with them. dad shot a few seconds when I was showing the kids how they are waterproof.

can't seem to find them for sale, but I was picturing the round containers that Hilti SDS hammer bits come in. only picture I could find. the ones that hold bolts are far too small after looking at them again.

 

One of the birds enjoys RC rides. The other one just gets scared and shits on it......

It is a fun little rig. I have a few RC's, the TH is my favorite for sure.

 

you like the upright shock hoops? how are they for speed? I use the hammers mostly for fast stuff, vs crawling. already have shocks that would work, so all I'd need to do is build some hoops. trying to gauge if the improvement is worth the effort of building a set.

I also need to get the tires you have (love them on my crawler) and some aluminum bead locks for mine. keep pulling the stock tires out of the bead lock with the new motor.

 

For my use, I would say the upright shocks have not made the front suspension substantially better, if at all. What they have definitely done is increase my options. The shock mount hoops have allowed me run the Axial shock which has slightly increased my overall travel(not truly significant to me, but it does max out the trucks capability). The big benefit is that removing the shocks from under the hood and installing the aluminum plate has created the option to mount a battery in the front. Having the weight forward has definitely improved it's crawling performance.

The best performance improvement on that truck has been the addition of the rear axle truss It has altered the stock geometry on the rear upper suspension links. It has decreased the trucks torque twist and roll over. It is a simple mod, but super effective.
