Does anybody here mess with the camber and toe-in on your models?

It depends on what you are driving. In 1:10 off road racing, you adjust it all the time. Different set ups call for different measurements.

In crawling, you can set the caster back to gain more near-end-point steering. It will make the front end looser going uphill, though.

Finally got my new esc and motor in. No smoke this time! Love the power it has. Ended up picking up some traxxas big bores and throwing them on as well. Now I just need to tie up my wires and I will be ready to give it a go outside. Only thing I noticed is that I can't reverse when steering. I have to let the wheels go straight before I can reverse. Anyone have any insight as to why? Something I need to program in the esc, perhaps? This is my first programmable esc, so I dunno...

Never mind. Read the manual a bit further. Looks like I need to program my esc reverse profile

I'm going to my to try my hand at building a micro rigger/sponson boat. Small enough to be powered by a spare Losi Micro Rally motor.

    Anyone into boats?

I can't wait to get this thing outside. Too bad its raining. I havent waterproofed yet. Drove it around the house chasing the cats and annoying my wife by climbing her leg. Upgrades thus far:

    Tekin FXR ESC
    Tekin 35t HD motor
STRC aluminum steering links, c-hubs and knuckles
Traxxas XXL big bore shocks using stock springs
Planning on making some upper and lowre suspension links

    What else should I do?

Edit: Sorry about the size of those pics. Posted from my tablet and they didn't look that big...

Forgot that I already added an aluminum servo horn, but a better servo, bec, and metal gears are on my list. Never thought of the driveshafts. It has the new wild boar hd driveshafts which are supposed to be better than the ones on the original wraith. Will probably wait until I break one to replace. What about the rear lockouts? is it necessary to replace them with aluminum? Also what is a good aluminum bead lock wheel? I am sure the plastic ones wont last long, though I do have aluminum pin hubs on order.

How much was everything to build one of those? I have wanted one since people started with the NQDs.

Cost estimates are always tough because once your in RC you have a lot of the basics covered.... every build is different. The SicRC hull can be purchased from the dude himself (he's in AUS so shipping is a bitch). I bet I spent $100 on the electronics (from hobbyking). I probably spent a total of 250 or so on the project. I really have no idea... here's KMB's site. and here's the SicRC site.

I spent a little time looking for an alternative to the hull and didn't really find one. The down under shipping is killer. There's some cheap jet drives on fleaBay for $30.

I'll be stopping by my LHS today to see what he's got for me boat wise for a mini-predator.

LHS is on vacation. So I got some balsa at HobbyLobby to get started. Picked up a carbon arrow at Academy for the outriggers.

Finished up my fastback mod. Turned out pretty sweet, nice and clean!
