good point that I left out.....

I was running the 2.2 swampers on stock wheels. with that axial wheel that sticks out a bit further, I can see how you're avoiding tire clearance issues

Find a good server power supply, they are excellent for charger power.
I run 2, 12 vdc in series to get 24 vdc and around 150 amps of grunt.

Heavy gauge wire, 10ga fine strand, don't skimp.

I have the exact same ones. Did you get them from a guy on a heli board?

As a matter of fact I did, I bought them a few years back from a guy on Helifreak. They have been bulletproof.

Very nice RC room! About twice the size of mine, I'm jealous :)

For about 3 years I had an RC room but no kitchen table. I got lucky and found a house that now allows for both. Hey, at least you have spare income to have fun with RC!

I'm pretty sure it's gonna sink, but here's some progress on my first ever attempt at building a boat. My LHS has nothing I need besides wood and glue. All my boat bits are coming from China and may be here in another week...or two.

I won't attach the top until I get my rudder and flex drive in hand to see how I'll need to mount the motor to balance it with the rear hardware mounted. I'm going to try a thinned lacquer and tissue paper covering to hide some of the inconsistencies of my woodwork.

Version 2.0 will be slightly larger and a 3/32" skeleton with 1/32" plywood covering.

Got bored today and let my boy make a "crawler course" in my weight room.

Also decided I don't like the primer gray body and wanted to see what it looked like in black. I had a can of plastidip and sprayed it. Waiting for it to dry now. Will post pics when I get all the masking tap off.

I'd try RCTech's for-sale section if you don't have success here.

Used some rock lights for headlights and rear light for the wraith. Worked out really well! Running them on 14.8v secondary battery. ca7d373106787b9dfc3e04e82aed05c8_cd69efa10a9c7e288b4425f633b6dbafa358774a.jpg

I put 3s power into my 1/12 Chinese cloned TwinHammers and it'll rip now. I smoked the slipper on my workbench when setting up the ESC last night.

I put a 60a ESC and 2838 5000kV BL on the other clone. But it's having some serious issues and doesn't run now. Internet called it cogging and that there's a loose wire somewhere. Anyone experienced in BL setups?

Yeah, I have a bunch of brushless experience. Can you describe "serious issues" and it not running? It may be cogging or a loose wire, or it may be a bad ESC and/or maybe even motor. We need some more details.

    Cheap car and cheap parts.
    -FEIYUE FY03
    -Favourite 60a ESC
    -2838 sensorless can, 5000kV

Both the motor and ESC sourced from Banggood for about $45 shipped. I didn't want to spend a whole lot as the car was only about $70.

With the motor in place and gears meshed, it will just jerk, twitch, and creep forward or reverse of direction selected.

When I unbolt the motor and separate the gears it'll do the same if full throttle is given. But if I feather it slightly it'll spin freely up to wide open.

So it happens when any load is applied. If I try to roll it across the floor it'll roll. But when throttle is applied the motor torques up and it'll do the twitchy thing again.

I've tried every combination of the three wires possible, but they are color coded anyway.

I put a brushless onto my Losi Micro Rally using the Losi-Spektrum Tx/Rx and a Turnigy 10000kV motor. It acted the same way as this one. So I ordered an eFlite 6300kV motor, wired it up, and it works fine on the first try.

That definitely sounds like some sort of cogging. I'm assuming you've calibrated the ESC properly to work with the throttle endpoints of your transmitter? Under full load, the ESC could also be asking for more amps out of the battery than the battery can provide. It could also be that the gearing is too tall. Cogging is more common with sensorless setups, that's why in racing you always used sensored setups. I've had cogging issues in the past with a Castle system (so name brand) because the ESCs firware was buggy.

Seeing that the ESC works with the eFlite motor leads to me think that the cheap motor is having problems. Can you try that cheap motor with a different ESC?

I love my MMP.. I paired it with a Tekin Rok412 in both my Wraith and my SCX10... the Wraith is running a 2300kv and the scx10 is 1200kv
