On another note I got my integy cage in and modified it a little. Still have to decide on paint and may change the front bumper up a bit. But what do you guys think? 7be3da79f786db16e666842089601bf2_f47f5eff9805aedd00dae250c7c798aef5e86721.jpg5802cdbbde239f8ddfc164d7b84bad27_f215e150e3d527de7af0bfa610395f2377ac6ccf.jpg336f56a40dbcb7c527a4240b14bd70f1_e47f39a2da7c0c82992cc196bcbfe56ef6acb2a9.jpg1635d17d3aa918a1d2448605b8b042e6_ee41d7e514f1de003de3715530287730d6bf4386.jpg

EBay 1.9 alloy beadlocks from China got here today. Nice scale hardware on them, 24 little ring screws and then 4 to hold the 3 pieces together and then 6 for the hubs per wheel. I was really wishing I had a magnetic mat to work on. Got the pit bull's mounted as well. First time doing beadlocks and I wasn't too frustrated. Cool setup I'm glad I saved the coin.0f017fcc6a7dfc0cfe6ea3c7c7ff3944_2f7a94f0447d08859d3e9343fc7496e4583c2d3f.jpg702b8552b8c6e45c574cb348ae7dd709_1efd02a412ecb1b34a6cbb168c3154e0f57edced.jpga726e84d9c476a736006db113c63c1ac_de5be70f6133d8581f8fc492dd148fb604411ed2.jpg1acf7c243d0a6e3876aa98e5f09fc650_210192c97021beaf2e57454c71227d222652ce8c.jpg

I have Gearhead wheels on my Wraith, I just totally didn't recognize the ones I asked about :)

My big head-scratches is what wheels to get for my SCX-10 build. I know I want black ones, and real beadlocks and not plastic. I think I also want them to be either SLW or have some good offset to clear my knuckles. Right now thinking either Vanquish or Motoworx. I don't like super crazy designs, simpl-ish spokes is what I'm after.

How's the quality and do they mount a tire well? Can you show me how they sit on the hex in terms of offset?

Yes, that's one of the wheels I'm considering actually.

I don't have the ssd assassin's I just like them, I had a budget for knockoffs so I got the eBay from China. Here is how they look..... 0fe8abd5f69373dbb3deb16f86dbb254_15b95e235bc2af5af1f727ad2f5c0f4e2e92d74c.jpg

So I know Axial is basically king, mainly due to being out longer and having a good product...
Vaterra, looking at the Ascender line, seems to really be competing with them and actually has some good offerings, better components in a RTR that Axial only offers in the upgrades or kits. Things like metal gears, two speed trannies, metal links, Spektrum radio, etc...

Anybody tried one of these rtr yet?

The vaterra is a nice piece....I have not had one personally but have seen them in person and very nice setup plus the vaterra had more steering angle than the axial

The Vaterra Bronco caught my eye, mainly because I can see an early Land Cruiser body fitting right on it. Bronco looks good too. Plus the wheel base can be extended from the frame itself, which opens up options.

This thing is a beast. Spoke to a guy with an E-Maxx last night and compared some notes. Sounds like they're sort of compatible...anyway, here you go.

The motor has a pretty big heat sink. After maybe 15m, it's pretty toasty.
