Thanks. Had I gotten my front post holes centered a little better, it would be near perfect. As it sits, I have one front tire that rubs at full steering lock at full throttle due to torque twist. He'll have to live with it. I am just about done. Going to leave the stock electronics in it. Waiting in some stainless steel tube to shroud the links since they are made from all thread and some hex adapters for the wheels. Got the bumper mounted today as well. Thinking of putting my old wraith shocks on it. Bad idea or good idea? Picture of the bumper before I got it completely mounted - it is straight now:

If you put the Wraith shocks on get some softer springs so it'll have some droop in the suspension. It won't sit as tall since they're longer and it'll flex a lot better. Or try some single Yeti springs instead on the Honcho shocks in place of the dual Honcho springs.

I have the ram power wagon with single spring per shock. Does the honcho have 2 springs per shock? Stock springs seem pretty soft. I may try it out tomorrow and see how it works out.

Gotcha. The Honcho has a dual spring/dual rate setup that hangs on the shock body sometimes. You should be good to go then. Look on fleaBay and see what spring rate the single Yeti is compared to what you have. The soft springs are good for crawling, but it's prone to rollovers when arsing around the yard turning fast.

I see. I don't think soft springs will be an issue. I can turn at full throttle now with no problems. Gonna give the wraith springs a try this afternoon. Thanks!

IIRC, Wraith springs are 14mm ID and the other are 12mm.

LOL, I remember the days of breaking stuff on my Stampede. Eventually you'll get a good mix of aluminum and RPM parts so that you don't break things anymore. :)

Any suggestions on what parts to go to aluminium and what parts to stay plastic?

I'm just slowly going all rpm. I'm just scared that aluminum will bend, or break the next thing in line. Probably a more expensive part. Idk haha

If you're talking about the Stampede, I had aluminum caster blocks, bearing carriers, bulkhead & shock caps (till I put on Big Bores - much better solution). For plastic, I had RPM arms, shock towers, bumpers and something else I can't remember right now.

Seemed to keep me from getting broken every time I ran.

I keep reading that some parts are great for aluminum, others are terrible for it and cause more damage.

    Edit: I have a Slash 4x4.

We have a pretty sick setup at the park by our houses. Couple nice jumps, lots of drifting room. Feel free to come by whenever.

Tho I hear you have the exact same setup as me so we might look more gay then normal.
