    Mods to the SCX10.
Replaced the highly flexible plastic links with metal, went 4 link on both ends.
also added 7mm spacers to the rear upper links to straighten the drive line angle a bit.
And added 2mm spacers to the front upper links for just a bit more.

And the drag/steering link so the wheels move in tune with each other.
Best mod for this car so far.

Removed the rubber bump stops from the rear shocks and gained some flex. Not worth it in the front unless you have a lift kit too imo, as the upper links hit the underside of the receiver box at full compression.

and swapped the 13t pinion for an 11t.

Looking at fender flares, new tires and beadlocks next.
    Thinking of these...

    or these...

still undecided, I like them both, leaning towards the Falken's.

I'm wanting a set of the BFG Krawlers real bad.

I put my radio box in the back like a fuel tank. Then remove all the unneeded bits related to the forward mounted radio box. Reversed the tranny 180* and put the battery up against the frame rails and the forward body posts with a few pieces of Velcro. I had to cut down a couple of pieces to get the radio box up almost flush with the frame rails. Oh, and extend the servo wires with one from my broken down airplane. The ESC can be double sided taped to the cross brace between the rear body posts. It adds the a little more weight up front in the end.

I keep reading about this, what is the benefit? The can is already towards the front so I thought that the weight distribution was already good.

It supposedly reduces the twist in the body you see when loading up the motor with torque. I did it to free up space for the battery up front sideways against the body posts.

On my Wroncho build I use two smaller batteries as saddle packs and left the tranny 'normal'.

Makes sense, the twist in the AX10 is really pronounced and i have thought about reversing that one, never did though. The SCX10 seems to have minimal twist in comparison.

It seemed the same either way to me, but it freed up some needed room.

During an early AM zombie breakfast at home for an Easter sunrise service and I had a thought.

The twist seen on these crawlers is because of the much softer shocks to get articulation. This combined with some drive line binding makes it happen. So make sure the diff tolerances are right and properly greased. Check that the axle bearings are free and that there's no binding out at the wheel hubs/hexes. Other than that there's not much to do.

I picked up a 2WD SC10. So far, I've put a new set of wheels and an RPM bumper on it. Running a 3s battery in it. It's a lot of fun.
