I'll be building this ramp this weekend or next I think. Depending on when I can get some tools to do it.

I actually was bashing my RC last night and the night before and had no issues with over heating. But when I run it in the sun it pretty much fails in minutes.

I also need to paint that body shell still.

If you don't go out camping this weekend I'll hit you up and we can go bash the fuck out of them. I got the neighbors kid to finally put in a brushless motor on his slash as well.

This thread has all but died after TW left tapatalk and the summer heat has soaked in.

Summer in the south is like winter in the north. I've been busy.

I built a 1/35 Orlandoo and fabbed up some wheels using some cut out hubs from some WLToys wheels and glued them into some Losi Micro T barrels and tires I hulled out. I also did a CMS.
    image.jpg

Then I horse traded some unused scx10 parts for a Losi Micro High Roller...sight unseen. When I got it, it was in poor shape. But I going with a Trail Trekker esc/Rx combo. It came with a HKing BL setup I canned for now. I've ordered some more parts and may make another one out of parts because this thing is cool...and unfortunately has long been discontinued. I'm going to part together a Micro Desert Truck too while I'm at it. My LHS has a big sale going on and there's bins of Losi Micro parts. image.jpg

I put together a 1/12 FEIYUE FY03 today. I ordered it as a roller from Banggood for about $63 shipped. I got it for my kids...right? I put a Redcat 70t 390 motor from one of Redcat's MOA rigs and some electronics I had laying around. It's not fast at all and that's what I wanted. I told them if they can master this I'll get some of those ECX Amp kits and they get to build one and paint it. Then we'll go bashing together with my next project.
    image.jpg

I bought a Bomber cage/chassis from a dude that knows a dude and it'll be here probably Monday or Tuesday. It has the links and skid, but is bare aside from that. I have a set of ar60 axles to put under it and an scx10 tranny, so it'll be a single speed. I have a variety of motors from 12t up to 80t and a 2200kV BL. I'll try the low turn motors out to figure out a BL kV I like. I want it to be more of a basher than a crawler and I'll order a cheap BL combo then beat it until it breaks. Then make it stronger and that's the plan for that one.

It's just too hot to do much of anything outside lately. Unless it's making a paycheck, it's not worth it. 90-105* everyday here.

Yeah.. The heat is just too much here in Az.. 110+... Too hot for me and the RC. The Slash overheats too easily when its this hot

It was above 95* since maybe 10am today.

I spent a few hours last night looking at the Bomber chassis' with an IFS from at Yeti. DMG has a front&rear conversion, too and Blue Monky has one for he front. It's really no more than a Yeti diff mounted to a new skid or a plate mounted to the skid. All fancy like with countersunk bolt holes and such. But DIY doable with a little patience. I'm thinking of cobbling together one of these now.

My Bomber chassis showed up yesterday. So I put my ar60 axles underneath it and looked at it. I didn't realize my scx10 tranny wouldn't work without an output extension. So I ordered a Yeti tranny for it. Then noticed my driveshafts wouldn't be long enough for the rear. So I ordered a set of the WB8 Wild Boars, too.

Today I cut panels out of some face shields I jacked from work. Painted them my favorite silver and then noticed they look like aluminum or stainless. I'll cut some more and do some other color eventually. I've decided to use a Traxxas 550 motor instead of a 540 can then maybe brushless.
