Just an update on my Arrma Talion. I sent the ESC in and they warrantied it no questions asked. The thing that makes it even better, is they exchanged my BLX180 for the updated / upgraded BLX185. I thought that was really awesome of them to do that. So for anyone looking into that brand, they really stand behind their products. I have a '14 and it was the first run, which seemed to have some issues. But they are making it right. Also, they have come out with a few new trucks that are pretty cool, since. So I would for sure recommend Arrma to any of you guys looking for a new vehicle.

 

Liking the B6D. Setup seems really good out of the box. Already broke the front carbon tower though and replaced it with a schelle one with a front wing mount to try.

 

Looking at getting back into the hobby anybody here know of any good tracks in the SW Florida area? Preferably to race 1/10 Short Course. Found a track in town, but haven't had extra time to stop by and can't find a way to get in contact with them. Also any recommendations for a 1/10 short course truck? Looking at the SC10, Ultima SC6, and XXX-SCT just trying to find a track first to see what they run. Thanks!

 

front wing make a noticeable difference? it is intended to help with higher speed turning, or trajectory off jumps?

edit: or is it just to look cool.......because it does.

 

My Lipo finally went poooof. Started to smoke a bit while I was using it, took it out and it was a bulged out pretty bad.

 

i havent tested it yet... but it's supposed to help with steering feel all around i think. i'll let you know once i get it back on the track

You're probably that guy at the track, chassis tuning with a $50 billit aluminum ride height gauge, aren't you?

I do tune my rides, but all the tools I buy are cheap haha. Think my ride height gauge was like 10-15 bucks

 

LHS is hosting a regional scale comp series. Today the location was Red Rocks in Morrison just outside the famous music venue. First time I've driven in 6 months maybe. Finished 2/4 courses. Pointed out the other two at gates 6 and 8. Surprised myself with how much skill I retained. Need to get my nerves back, I am scared of heights and the location got to me. It was a lot of fun and the weather was great. Next month may be in snow or icy conditions

 

Put this together today. It's far from finished but is coming along nicely.

 

I'm curious to hear what you think about the front wing. That was kinda a thing for awhile back in the late 80s early 90s on "gold tub" RC10s.

 

Yea, I'll 2nd that. Been looking into how I can modify the Honcho but I haven't found a bed or double cab that will look somewhat normal grafted together.

 

i'll let you know. i tried it a few years ago on an outdoor track and dint notice much of a difference but the car never steered too well to begin with and this was on a rear motor car lol. i'm gonna see if i can go back this thursday and see if my lap times are any better.

 

Yeah, I really couldn't tell either, but hell, I dropped big money (at the time) for the carbon fiber one. So I had to run it!!! LOL Plus it looked cool. Carbon was just starting to be used in the hobby. With the newer mid engine configuration, I can't see where you would even need more steering.

 

I got the Wraith up and running. I made a brief outing today and now have a clicking in the Bomber's tranny.
