Im thinking about getting a set.

Looks like it'd be fun. I'm eyeing some Colt bodies for mine.

My RTR servo was getting a bit weak and I had one to install. Hitec and a Castle BEC. I also finished the interior for the beater body. i mainly wanted it just to qualify for comp scale points it's not well executed and hard to see with the scratches

I strapped my iphone to it a few days ago. It did 31mph. It looks much faster, though. I've got an SC10 I pushed to 42mph for a few speed passes. I eased on and off the throttle with the truck to not strip any gears.

Axial is playing peek a boo again with a new release. Note the hod pins and bolt heads on the roof. It's a small one....

I honestly don't think you can go wrong with that choice. I don't own one but they seem like a solid machine for the price. Plus they are the perfect size, in my opinion.

good to hear. it looks really fun. toss up between the bomber and the wraith. but the bomber apparently has some stronger internals and it is cool since its a KOH based rig

Ya, I'm not an expert on Axial by any means, so maybe some owners can chime in. My friend has a Yeti and it is awesome. I think the Bomber has different rear end set-up and different transmission than the Wraith. Both are good trucks.

The Wraith is more crawler based and the Bomber is a rock racer/bouncer type rig. Both can be modded either way. The Bomber has a weak(poor QC) ESC that will likely burn up. Need to replace it and may as well replace the motor. Go brushless if you can afford it.

Can I run the ESC for a while or should I plan on swapping it and the motor out of the gate?

I'll need to buy a battery and charger as well right? 3s lipo?

If you want go fast then you'll need a motor and ESC soon. MY as well have it on hand. I bought two 'used' new pull off AE-5 ESCs and both died. One I burnt up in my Bomber using a Traxxas 550 12t motor in 3s. Come to find out neither were rated for themselves on 3s. 2s would've been fine. The 2nd AE-5 shorted full throttle reverse in a road car. My 2 year old AE-5 is still plugging away in a crawler.

These are highly recommended but I can't vouch. But I do have one in order.

    Go here and be ready.
