Nice! Where did you get them? What tires are you running with them?

Good review. Still sounds like a nice little truck. For the price, there are some things you would expect to need upgraded, I guess. But overall, seems like a good buy. For what it's worth, all it took was a nasty cart-wheel on my Mini Revo, for me to need to install the new Savox. It happens, I suppose lol...especially on the minis.

I really like it. It reminds me a lot of my Mini-T from a decade ago, with 4x4 and ground clearance.

Those are a fleaBay find. I stumble across random Chinese auctions for pennies and bid. I think I got them for $7. I've got some Chinese tires coming for $5. Before I glue them I'm going to see how soft the Vaterra tires are at my LHS. I scored some SCT wheels/tires for $15 for the Exo.

I got my used Exo Terra in today. A big let down. Two squealing bearings, 2-part epoxy locked center diff, wore out spur gear(vehicle specific), smelled like it supported the ashtray at a pool hall for several years, tires stink so bad they getting trashed, springs and shocks were junk, and the goofy motor mount had a hole punched through where it locks down with a set screw.

It didn't have the original body and I knew it. I have a Proline f250 that has the same wheelbase that'll work. So I studied it next to my Yeti and my hunch was right. The front Yeti bumper, shock tower, and body posts will fit both front and rear of the Exo. So two of those are coming. I drilled and tapped an m4 hole and used a new set screw for the motor mount. I ordered a new Exo front/rear tower last week and it'll be here tomorrow so I can get it operational in the meantime. I have a sack of Axial bearings so it'll get all new bearings. I'll be trying a 2100kV sensorless with a 20 tooth pinion to the worn out 52 tooth spur at first and go from there.

I got this Exo up and running. I think the 20 tooth is too tall because it'll cog ever so slightly when moving slow. At full throttle this will fly on 2s.

Front shock towers front and rear. Mismatched shocks for now and the shortest 2.2 tires I have.
    IMG_5621.jpg

When I get the Yeti towers in next week I'm hoping this will mount up low enough to not expose the chassis.

I've been out of the game for some time now. What brand mask are you using? Seems I used Bob Diveys or Parma. Are those even still around? Do you brush or spray your mask on? How many coats? Be sure to post the finished goods. You're throwing out some nice bodies these days. I remember when you were single colour rattle canning!!! LOL

Both are still around and i use either or. I brush on about 4-5 coats depending on how much I've thinned it.

I'll get some finished pictures for sure. And thanks man lol. I've slowed down a bit but i still paint for my friends when they ask for it. The hate of 1 color rattle can jobs and cost of having others paint for me made me learn real quick hahaha.

I still havent gone to test that front wing lol but hopefully i make it out next Thursday.

I like to see the knife you are using to cut the design. I would like to try this method instead of using tape and paper. Also, can you post a pic of the masking product you used?

I'd be willing to bet he uses a new #11 exacto blade. You must be careful not to "score" the body when cutting out your mask sections.IMG_5436.jpg
    IMG_5437.jpg
Most any good hobby should carry liquid mask in their paint section.

I use a #11 blade. Bob Dively or Parma Fasmask.

It's actually one of his old bodies from the original yz2 I even have the little LMR body wing I took it off because I run a front Mount.

The mail-lady and two separate FedEx vans brought me some goods today.

A set of meaty 1.9 GMade tires for my scx10, a Bomber slider that only needs an ESC and wheels/tires, and a new(ish) Yeti Jr. with a smoked ESC. I've got everything to make them all run in parts boxes.

    Now I need some time.

    Some more progress.

Pulled the second section of pinstriping mask for the second color.

    20161223_084546.jpg

    20161223_084557.jpg

Then started pulling the larger sections of mask for the darkest colors. Also did some shading for some detail.

    20161223_085854.jpg

    20161223_085900.jpg

Then started painting the darker colors in the larger sections.

    20161223_100608.jpg

    20161223_120341.jpg

This is where they sit right now. The lighter colors are next.

Youd have to get shorter or longer links or convert to adjustable turnbuckles
