Anyone into R/C?

I picked up adjustables but thought I'd ask first.

 

Here is the next section ofmask removed for the lighter colors. In this case they will all have flourescent yellow with some orange shading

 

I had pulled the trigger on an SCX10 II Jeep Cherokee, awsome crawler with some scale realism. BUT . . . for all-out scale realism, I returned the Cherokee and got the RC4WD TF 2 Mojave II Hilux.

Bodies are done! Took a lot of breaks in between but they're done lol.

Here i painted the lighter flo yellow and orange sections of the bodies.



The last large portions will be the lightest colors which is white for all of these. Some different color shading in the white as well.



Then the last step in the pin striping sround the windows. In my opinion the most annoying part lol.





And finally the completed bodies with the exterior overspray film removed.

Im currently in Oregon my local track here is PBR we recently switched to high bite turf it's awesome!

Here's a pick of our most recent layout it's 6000 sqf. BTW

 

Bad ass. Ive only ever driven touring car on carpet. They just made a track a couple hours from my house and the surface is rubber lol.

 

Where do you race in so cal ? I've been to road runners, scvrc, and ocrc.

 

I used to race at ocrc but i havent been in a while. Most recently ive ran outdoor at pegasus and indoor at lrh.

 

Thats a bit of a drive but if im ever out there I'll check it out!

 

I have a friend that lives in SB I could check it out next time I'm in town.
Dou you guys run e buggy there ?

All my 10th scale cars are set up for high bite.

What's up guys. I've been lurking in this thread for a little while. I've had this little guy for about a year (dromida db 4.18 that was given to me), so I've had a lot of fun running it around while researching and learning more about r/c cars. Then the ESC went bad recently, so i decided to upgrade to the dromida brushless speed kit, also did a complete aluminum drive train upgrade, and painted the springs and links (mainly because I was bored) to give it a little more of my flavor. This thing hauls ass (30 mph is what they advertise). It's running off a nimh now, but i plan to put a lipo in it and see how much better/faster it will make it.

Got my DMG tire mount put on. No more rear tire hangups!

 

Today has been productive for me as well.

Brushless power in a Yeti Jr. as well as some cheap wide wheels to help stop the traction rollovers.


Two Yeti 1:10 shock mounts an drew body posts to mount a body on my newly acquired Exo Terra.


I also got a $40 kit from China. A Mini XMaxx. Lol. It's got a 380 motor but I'll be swapping the brushless from the YJr. to this and this brushed to the YJr. and putting the original 1.55 wheels/tires back.

 

I wish I had some experience painting a solid color first

 

I started out just masking off designs with tape and it evolved into this. Give it a shot. Even if you do it with rattle cans. Liquid mask is an awesome tool.
