not sure if you want the smaller scale but Losi makes a 1/24th scale, Vaterra has a 1/18th scale. RC4WD also has a few options

Google "crawler" and add these separately: Thunder Tiger, ECX, Losi, Vaterra.

There's a guy with a pile of Losi Trail Trekkers squirreled away. He's got an online store and Shapeways, too.

Here is my high lux! I have it converted to run lipo with a waterproof speed controller\combo with a cooling fan on it. This little truck has 4x4 drive and 4 wheel steering and a 3 speed shift on the fly tranny. I wanted it in 1985 but it was $750.00 dollars. I paid $450.00 for it 20 yrs later. It took hours and hours and hours to assemble it. It has real planetary gear differentials. Real leaf springs and real shocks. A real frame that holds the tranny and motor in.

I also have 4 boats 3 are built and 1 in process right now. And i have 7 drones and 2 helicopters also. I love R\C stuff!!

I started with quad copters after a motorcycle accident. Here is my 1st one

This is my casual park quad. It's a 330mm frame. I would wrap them in carbon fiber wrap for a better look and wiring looms and colored shrink wrap in wires. I would highly detail\color match them. Here you can see them in pieces. and then done.

My favorite quad for high altitude and aerial video filming. Its a 550mm air frame carbonfiber aluminium. Here its in pieces and i just put green CF wrap on the parts before i build it.

So I'm going to the track this week with my Arrma truggy. Should be fun.

My issue is that I also have a Mini Erevo that I am trying to get set up for the track as well. I bought the JConcept Goosebump wheel package, stiffer Traxxas spring (Black / Tan stripe), 100wt shock oil, Savox servo. It still rolls rather easily, unfortunately. So I'm debating going a little further with the mods and going with the RPM steering knuckles, center diff (with 50wt oil in front diff). Not sure if it is worth it. I was considering instead of modding the Mini Revo that I might be better off going with a Losi Mini 8ight-T. But people claim that they need a lot of mods to get them up to par. 1 of which is to install a Mini Erevo motor/esc onto it. So any input? Continue modding the Mini Erevo or buy a Mini Losi? The Arrma is my main track vehicle regardless, but I want a mini to run there as well.

completely different animal, but if it makes any difference, I convert my 1/8 Summit into a revo for track days, and it's an absolute blast. the square wheelbase makes it handle completely different than a standard buggy/truggy, but is still controllable and a lot of fun. if you do it right and can drive well enough, it is also a lot of fun to see a monster truck hang with truggies. so even though we're talking different scales, I'm a fan of revos and other low CoG monster trucks at the track.

    Edit:

This is what the summit looked like with the temporary Evo conversion.

    items swapped:
    -rocker arms
    -shocks/springs
    -diff oil
    -wheels/tires
-body mounts (I keep the revo body/wing on full time now, even when it's set up like the summit)

Absolutely. That all makes sense. And I have heard of people doing that with the Summits, which is cool (and seems pretty easy to do). Great looking truck btw.

I have a big Erevo also. I have a 'track set-up' for it (not pictured), but really no need for it, since I have the Arrma. So my big Erevo is mainly for general bashing/ripping around/speed runs etc. In the pic, it is raised up a tad than the race set-up and different wheels. I have no problem with the handling of the big truck, it is just the small one that likes to flip over easily.

As for this little guy, it is super fun and fast. Just hard to drive. It wheelies way tooo easily, for my liking. I just want it to be easier / smoother to control for the track, while still the occasional bashing. I think the center diff will keep the wheelies in check and keep power to the ground. I just don't want to do all of this and still get smoked by the Mini 8ight-t. But people say once you do all of the mods, the Mini Erevo can be awesome at the track. So I didn't know if anyone had experience with 1 or the other. I feel like I should just continue with what I have, rather than start with the Mini 8ight and still have to upgrade. Tough choice.

Ok so im on a toss up here... i bought a RTR yeti for 200 and its quick on 2s but I think I want it to do atleast 10-15 mph more...

I also want to buy a bully 2 moa comp crawler to do stupid crawling with at the local hiking trails here in philly

    My question is...

Do I make the yeti faster or do I buy the RTR bully? And what do you recommend I do to the yeti to make it faster? Thanks!

No knocks really. It's a great truck in stock form, and can be tailored towards crawling or generic bashing very easily. Does both moderately well stock. Does a brushless in there with a 3s lipo, and you have a pissed off squirrel, hopped up on red bull. It's a lot of fun that way, but you'll want to start strengthening immediately, and the stock wheels and tires won't last. If you stay away from the brushless, really all you will need to do eventually is replace the underpowered shif servo.

Hey colin what battery would you recommend for a BULLY 2 MOA from rc4wd? Trying to find batteries for the damn thing is next to impossible... i want batteries with deans connectors already on them as Im swapping the tamiya in the truck for a deans when I get it... haven't ordered yet but im ordering from RPP. Can order battiers seperately from somewhere else if needed

are you just having trouble finding one with the right dimensions?

I run 2s, 20-30C, 4500-5000 mah on my MOA and get about an hour of constant run time. if the battery is below the cog, run the biggest, fattest battery you can stuff in there. if it's above the cog, you'll just have to weigh cog vs runtime when it comes to selecting the right mah rating for you.

as for deans already on it, do you not have a soldering iron? and if you don't, do you know someone who does?

if no to both of the above, for crawlers, there really isn't any harm in running an adaptor plug, since the amperage is typically pretty low with the gearing of a crawler.

I ended up just buying the center-diff, some diff fluid, a truggy body from J-Concepts and the RPM axle carriers / knuckles. I decided I should continue building what I already have before buying another machine (Losi). So hopefully this makes the Mini Erevo a little more stable for the track. I won't have the parts and have it ready for this week's track night, but next time for sure.

If anyone does have any track experience with the Mini Erevo or Losi Mini 8ight / 8ight-t (compared to the Mini Erevo) I'd still like to get your input.
