1 other thing I was thinking of, depending on what batteries you are using, in relation to the gearing), you could be hitting the thermal safety. I am pretty sure that ESC has a low-voltage built in, but not 100% sure (as I don't own an Xmaxx). But 10 mins of run time doesn't sound right. My guess is you are possibly shutting down in temp safety, but hard to say without knowing the set-up and exactly what is happening. Just something to check.

Ya my friend's does, I'm pretty sure. But 10min run times, isn't normal (depending on the batteries being used).

I get about 40 min with mine as well. There are two things you need for the earlier release. The firmware upgrade to the ESC and the battery crossover (or whatever it's called). Otherwise, it could overheat which will cause it to shutdown.

What batteries are you using? I'm running the 5000mh 50s.

Started building my mini back up last night. I will probably have it finished tonight or tomorrow. I have probably more money in the thing than I wanted to, but if it runs the way I want it to, I suppose it is worth it.

Man. Tried to upload pic from 2 nights ago, with my parts and then a pic of the progress and it isn't working. Maybe I'll try something else other than photobucket and retry.

Anyways, Mini Revo is about ready to go. Took it for a test run and it is much better than it was, as far as handling.

Will be beginning project X Maxx crawler/trail machine soon. Ordered a Holmes Hobbies BR-XL, a BEC, a Castle Link programming kit, and a Savox 2270SG servo with mount adapter. My father is going to donate an 18V Dewalt drill motor to the cause. Have I missed anything?

It's a start and should be an interesting project. :)

Well that 18V Dewalt motor ended up being large enough that I could modify the existing motor mounts to make it fit. Still have a little cutting to do on it so I can move the pinion a little more. Its a start though.

And yah, the motor looks a little rough. My father used the hell out of his drill. Brushes look to be in good shape though.

Ran my big E-Revo a bit tonight. These trucks are so awesome. It just sucks that they are so expensive to run. 6S on this thing is fun but wears out parts. But it is worth it, I think.

    I hear ya.
I converted my nitro Savage to brushless two years ago and the power just shreds the drivetrain after a few runs. It's awesome. :D

Ya lol. Your truck sounds cool. Savages are sweet.

But ya, I have slowly been trying to upgrade everything on this ERevo, to make it durable. The thing still snaps the pins on the Traxxas Metal driveshafts lol. Once I need to rebuild the diffs again, I'm going to convert the bulkheads to Hot Racing aluminum units (with the locking screws). Until then, just going to keep having fun with it and trying to keep as best of care as I can. Then once it goes, I'll upgrade some more. Great truck, I've been really happy with it.

They redid our track this week. Sick layout but the big triple claimed the Talion by the end of the night. Gearbox case went and the tower/front end all came loose. Got another on order though.
