Yah, I turned it into a crawler/trail truck. Will be more fun for me that way.

I am not sure what servos are good for the XMaxx but I have a Savox on both my Talion and my mini ERevo and it was quite a nice upgrade. More responsive and more durable. I think that will be good.

Using the traxxas standard servo adapter, I had installed a Savox 2270sg (444 oz @ 7.4v). Its a great servo for my wraith. Just seems to be lacking in torque on the Maxx. This new servo that I ordered is 694 oz at 7.4v, I believe. My question was somewhat rhetorical. I just couldn't believe how much torque this new servo had.

I re-geared my Mini ERevo last night. Brought it with me to run after work. Trying to find the perfect mix of torque for the track, without being too bottom-heavy. Also, need to make sure I am keeping the temps down. It is somewhat hilarious that my mini seems to take more time/money than my big trucks lol.

That thing looks awesome^ Axial kits are just so cool. Everything looks so real. I wanted to get one but I just ended up buying a Losi Mini 8ight-t, over the weekend. So that is my new track project. My Arrma truggy is down until at least May as my diff housing is on backorder. So I figured I'd run the Losi as my main track truck and also bring the Mini ERevo along, when I go. I'm trying to leave my big Revo as a basher, so not looking to drop the ride height and lower it for the track, unless it's my only option.

I'm about 15-20 minutes from big dog. Haven't been there in a long time (mainly because i'm a flyboy I guess [micro champ, micro p51, micro p-40, t-28 warbird, crack turbo beaver] and I go to lukes in brookfield), but ive lettered some of the cars over there. We did a couple traxxas trucks for Circle Z Bar Ranch a couple months back for a promo.

Oh that is cool. Small world. Big Dog is fun. Everyone there seems really nice. I live in Pittsburgh but work up that way, so I go up after work. If you ever decide to go, hit me up.

Picked up a losi rock rey last night. First run stripped the plastic servo horn. Fixed it and ran another battery through it (so far it has handled abuse very well). We will see how it does after this weekend. Plan on keeping it on 2s right now till I break something then I'll put some new internals in it.

Fun. Is it much different than the Yeti? Look forward to hearing more about it.

Here is my Losi next to the Arrma. Ran it twice around the house. It's pretty sweet. Going to the track next week to try it there.

It is much better built than the yeti in my opinion. However it is weird getting used to driving. But everything seems much stronger from the factory.

I have both the Yeti and Twin Hammers. I do really like the IFS/SRA setup, but while I love my Twin Hammers I do not enjoy the Yeti. I find the Yeti kind of klunky. Given that Losi and Vaterra are in the hands of Horizon Hobbies I am curious to hear what folks have to say about the RR.

Is the 'getting used to' have anything to do with the AVC?

A little. It's mainly the "transfer case" it acts like a open diff and with send power to both front and rear until you get high centered then the ones of the ground will spin. Little throttle fwd Rev will normally get you unstuck though

It is. Takes a lot of stress off the drive line. But I have been driving my fully built wraith for a while so It's taken me a bit to get used to it.

I'm considering buying the yeti jr. Thinking about the score truck though. Anyone have insight. @Star-Lord how you like the rock racer? Done any upgrades since the servo?

nah, just the servo for now. It does pretty good as is being so light. Maybe shock upgrades down the road when these start to leak.
