    x2, lol.

not sure if youve seen DMG (Death Metal Garage) LT conversion either. He also has a spare tire mount that moves it up out of the way so it doesnt get hung up, I have one and it helps a bit.

you can keep the gas tank with it. that's how mine is setup.

i really like the LT also but want to keep mine more u4/bash style. if i had a second though!

these are my two favorite bomber builds (granted by the same person). one of each style

I saw $479 as msrp. Idk if it's coming with the charger or not. No loss if it doesn't. You'll want LiPO batteries and those charges are only NiMH.

The provided Traxxas dc chargers are garbage anyway.

DMG makes makes nice stuff. I have one of his stiffy kits on my wraith.

His B1B and B2B Bombers are both really cool. I have been very tempted on that. If money only grew on trees...

I think we would all agree there. He actually is local to me so I'm hoping to see one of his kits in action this summer.

I don't actually even have a Bomber at this point, so the money hill is looking pretty tall. Sometimes I figure I should just order up the IFS Bomber kit now and buy parts here and there until it's done

That's what I wanted but seemed like it was a pain to track down a quality body, unlike the 1st Gen Pickup or a Landcruiser.

Those are about $115 new. So the deal isn't bad. The only problem is those are dealt through NitroRCX, along with some other offshoot brands. So that is where you have to get parts. You won't be able to roll down to the local hobby shop to get parts. Also, not going to be much in the way of upgrades or anything aftermarket. At least you would potentially have a parts truck if you bought those 2 together. So just something to keep in mind. They aren't bad cars. Also, at 1/18 scale, that is pretty small. So sometimes minis are annoying, depending on where you plan to drive.

I'd have a hard time buying a used rc. Considering how my mud beater is cleaner looking after hosing off than my "nice rig" that will likely never see anything above the pumpkin in water and mud

I'd go with the first ad that you sent before that. As soon as it said, 'no idea of condition' then all bets are off and I'd hate to see you end up with junk.

Like I said, the first cars are good to get started. Nice entry-level. NitroRCx stuff is a very good way to get into the hobby without spending a ton. Just annoying to have to buy from their website and not at a store. At least those trucks look to be in good shape, in the first ad.

Thanks for the help/advice I used to have a losi back 20 years ago. Spent a lot of money trying to race the thing. Just been out of it for a long time. Now my son needs entertainment when camping and wheeling.

Lol. You and Robbie are rough on everything you all own. I posted a couple of links in here looking for advice on a couple of ads I saw. Any advice... was waiting for you to chime in.

Just looking at the picks...thats some rather old tech. The batteries are NiMH and while they are fine new battery tech is much better. If you can get an entry level RTR with a LiPo battery and perhaps a brushless motor your son will have a much better time. Run times on lipo batts vs NiMH are double at least. Anybody racing today will be using LiPo batts and brushless motors. That being said for the right price you could always pick that stuff up later and just get this for the cars/bodies etc. Just my $0.02.
