Longer shocks will do it if you set them up with a droop. IE: softer springs and/or a lift/droop kit set up in a droop configuration. But longer shocks will just increase ride height and raise the center of gravity leading to unnecessary rollovers.

My Honcho came with 90mm shocks and with stock springs stayed extended fully under the weight of the rig. I swapped to 100mm Wraith shocks and lighter springs to induce a droop that had a lower ride height than the stock shocks/springs had. Rollovers at speed were prevalent but slow crawling ability was increased.

Great! That gives me some helpful insight on shocks, I've got another question! I'm used to GT touring cars and my E-Revo, very quick cars. The crawler goes as fast as I walk. Is this normal? And how important is it to have waterproof electronics? How many of y'all actually take these through water?

A walking pace is just right for me. I have one set up for running trails and it's a jogging speed so that I can run around and never stop walking.

I never ford any water with mine because I don't like the cleanup later. That's up to you really.

You don't need it. Iv ran longer. And droop setups. Back to stock length with stiffer springs. You want stuffer springs in the rear also. Same with stiffer foams in the rear. A lot of other people seem to think otherwise and there wrong. It just looks cool with more flex that's all

I use my original scx 10 in the water. Not my 10 2. Although it is completely waterproof just to expensive to get myself to chance it. Just spray it with a hose after and coat it in Rem oil

I ran my bomber through some water. it was fun until the servo gave out and I had to replace it. probably just stay away now. it was also deep enough water though that the car was actually floating

What servo did you end up going with? I just ordered a Bomber and already plan on doing a few upgrades, just can't decide which servo to go with... Wanna keep it under $100.

This has been working well for me. I believe I got it on Amazon for around $70ish? I stripped out the original Tactic servo with all of the upgrades I have.
    More power means more stress/breaks...

51CB460A-E165-49A3-9BA5-0DDFEAC9AE8E.jpg Just about finished up trimming the '85 Sr5 shell. Is anyone else running this body in theirs? Curious what bumpers to go with... I can't use the factory ones because this shell has much more ground clearance in the rear, which I'm very happy with.

I'm running the bed section with a Trail Honcho front to give it a more 2nd gen look. I'm actually using the Axial swingout rear bumper, my metal ScaleFab bumpers were too narrow.

The Axial swingout isn't the best fit. You can see below I need to extend it out. And it could go up a bit compared to the bed body line.

Where do you guys buy batteries? All my stuff was in storage over the winter and all the lipos are now too low to charge with my charger. I have a SCX10 and a slash.

I've gotten some from fleaBay and some Turnigys from HobbyKing.

Every now and then my lipos will drop too low. I put a LV alarm with a LCD that shows voltage per cell and total voltage on the balance plug. Then charge as a NiMH and watch as the charge per cell is high enough for it to balance charge as a lipo. The quickly plug in the balance plug and swap my charger for a preset balance mAh. Let it do its thing then leave the battery a few hours to see if it's holding a level charge per cell. If so, I'll plug it back in and run a discharge/charge cycle. I've saved a couple that were down low for weeks.

Although yours were in winter storage and it's now August...

This - I too have had my Lipos drop too low to the point my charger errors out and won't charge them. They are usually just below the point where they would charge. Like Brake Weight said, disconnect the balance, and charge as a NiMN, but WATCH IT. I usually only have to charge for a minute or so and it is good enough to charge on as usual with LIPO setting. I do store them @ 3.85 per cell...
