Damn! Just watched a couple of videos of the SCBE on a 3s.

I have a Ten-MT which is a lot of fun as well.

My kid loves the Yeti, I find it clumsy. That Losi looks a lot like the Exo Terra, which is a performer. I can totally appreciate the scb’s, cool choice. Have you run a buggy with AVC before?

Edit: just realized you sold your Bomber, I somehow replied as if you said Yeti:oops:

I drove a buddy's XXX SCB once... Made me one one... But other than that, no... No experience with AVC. Is it good or bad?

Have never tried AVC myself. That Losi seems like the type of buggy to really test it out. My xxx-scb predates the AVC thing.

I love mine. After a buddy got one myself and two other buddies got one. On 3s the thing is insane. It hangs with my 1/8 scale buggy. Its on a SCTE chassis so there are tons of parts for them. It builds alot of heat so drill some holes behind the drivers for it to escape and a motor fan helps alot.

    Here is my collection:

Well USPS has screwed me again...ordered my Losi Ten SCBE last Thursday, paid an extra $30 to have it here by Tues so that I could take it to the track on Friday....tracking showed that it was supposed to have been here Monday....here we are on Wed...still no package, in fact, the mail man didn't even show up yesterday or today. I had it shipped to my work...15 yrs, the mail man has never not showed up at this building....go figure. OH and the tracking as since gone in reverse and said that it's still in transit...it left Chico, CA, went to L.A. then was in transit, out for delivery, then back to Chico, back to L.A and is now in transit for a second day, with no scheduled delivery day.

Sorry guys, had to vent a lil.

Where the F is my package.jpg

I call when it says delivered but hasn't been. I swear, those lazy asses just roll back to the shop when they don't feel like delivering. I've had to call twice and twice, my package was miraculously delivered within the hour.

    That looks amazing.

I think for the holidays, I'm going to buy a TLR 22 4.0 Spec Racer kit. It'll give me something to build over the winter. Plus, I want a 1/10 racer.

It drives awesome.... Took it out Friday morning... Within the first 5 minutes, I hit a stationary object and busted the front end... But thanks to a LHS, was able to fix it.... Broke the shock top and front right a arm hinge pin. I really dig the AVC.

Glad it was an easy fix.
I really am not a fan on the AVC on my mini 8ight t. I think on a bigger vehicle for bashing it would be cool though. On the mini, it seems to not work so good. When bashing, the minis kick around and the avc reacts and either delays the truck or ends up overcompensating and making it handle worse. On the track where I run that truggy (it is clay, low traction), it makes it handle very vague and unpredictable. The larger vehicles are just so much more stable, so I bet it is a lot of fun on something like that.

So i think i may have been bit by this bug... i played with my first RC crawler last weekend and it was a ton of fun. It was an Axial Deadbolt, and i have been looking to get a crawler of my own. The Axial Wraith looks awesome but its pretty big and i am not sure i want to go that large. I feel like the Deadbolt was a good size, and would be easy to build a track for. But the wraith i feel like would be more fun to crawl and would be more capable...

Any tips/suggestions on 4x4 RC crawlers to check out, and places to pick up used ones?

    Thanks

The deadbolt is supposed to be a great crawler...as is the SCX10...very popular. There are quite a few groups on Facebook that are full of great knowledge and info, and well as rigs for sale or trade. I owned a wraith for just a short period, and I had the RR10 Bomber...I just couldn't get into the crawling scene, but I love the scale look that you can get with them. I don't think you can go wrong with the deadbolt though...read lots off good things about them.

Head over to rccrawler.com, tons of info and a ton of experience on there...some really good people on that forum. Always something good for sale in the classifieds as well.

Saw this guy at SEMA and had to take some pics. Dad had one when I was a kid, so it brought back some good memories. I may have to buy one when they are available.20171102_135732.jpg 20171102_135850.jpg
