No different than any other Traxxas high current battery plug. Venom and others give you adapters.

I have a protec deans to traxxas plug. I grabbed the two my lhs had because amain will not sell them anymore. Think traxxas was pulling an apple and does not want them selling because then people do not buy their traxxas ID batteries. I like a 50c over the 25c traxxas batteries. I def notice the C rating difference in my slash on the track. The gen ace 50c has more punch imo.

You can't get adapters for the Traxxas iD plugs anymore.
They made sure of that so you have to either buy their batteries or change the
    connector on the ESC.

I would vote for changing the ESC connectors. I annoys me to no extent when manufacturers do things like this.

Well thats not annoying at all. They do make it easy to get into the hobby. But they just have to be special.

On the battery connector topic. What would you guys say is the most common connector these days? I'm trying to get Savage electric conversion working again, it has the old style Traxxas connectors and NiMh batteries. I'm also thinking about converting my Sport Maxx to electric and or getting an SCX10 II as well. From what I've seen so far the Deans connector seems to be the more common choice. Or does it just come down to personal preference?

For those into crawlers - Anyone recommend a decent winch bumper for the wraith? Nothing to break the bank.

Any micro crawler guys out there still? Jim Frye was "The Man" for years and spent a lot of time designing and building for the micro crowd. Now he's 'getting out' so to speak and has washed his hands of Shapeways. He took away all his profit margin and walked away basically. Kinda sad, but I understand at the same time. The micro scene has been dying for some time but with the release of the ECX and a couple others it has struggled a little longer. Anywho, a few of the Chinese clones are similar to the Losi MRC/Trekker and Redcat Sumo that Jim based his chassis' off of.

    https://www.shapeways.com/shops/lynxmicrotech?li=pb

I got about $60 of stuff tonight including a sweet Specter chassis, high offset wheels (to run some Scramblers on), a couple of skids (both Losi and Sumo), and a bumper set to make fit my ECX.

I'm hoping it'll all work out with either these donors that I have somewhere in my "room". If you run the Sumo tranny and Losi axles it'll be a high speed basher until the axles give out. LOL.

FML. I was supposed to go camping at Hollister with some friends who are also RC buds. Our plan was to race them on the kids track.
Plumbing problems got in the way. Shitty situation.

I digress. The UDR is a lot like the Yeti in terms of suspension. It's pretty beefy and wants to lift or throw rocks depending on the surface. The nice thing about this Traxxas is you don't have to take the body off for day to day ops. Batteries drop into a tray and lock in with catch on on the end of the cover. The ESC is within easy reach. Everything works like you would expect though if you are not careful to secure the battery tray, it will come undone.

I wouldn't let that stop you from getting one. All my Traxxas vehicles use the same connector, the Yeti, Axial, and Talion all use different connectors. One nice thing about ID batteries is you don't need a balance plug-it's built in.

Speaking of batteries, I was gonna use the Onyx batteries so I charged them. One turned into a pumpkin and will now take a salt water bath. That sucked because the Onyx didn't last 5 months-shitty warranty too. I replaced it with a couple of Venom batteries. Venom offers a warranty.

Anyone have any interest in an SCX10.2 Kit that I built? Selling as a roller.

My Shapeways Goat from a few years back. Rolling on some unobtainium Miclaw tires and one off lathe turned delrin wheels. I used my Trekker drivetrain, too.

That little nitro looks like it’d be holy hell on wheels to keep in a straight line.
