The balance plug is built in so that you have to buy a Traxxas ID charger.
No adapters are available so you have no choice.

For sure man, can’t deny a killer rig. Into crawlers at all? Onroad? SC trucks?

Any pics? I’ve wanted to take on a hard shelled body instead of Lexan but afraid to do all that work then ruin it crawling or trailing. Here’s my two crawlers - I don’t really touch the SC truck or touring car anymore.

I guess that’s part of crawling huh? Lol. Tacoma’s aren’t the only thing that’ll empty your wallet.

Yes. That's true. But if you want a Venom or other battery, use an adapter. The balance plug is only required for charging with Traxxas chargers and as I said, it does make charging less complicated by combining the two in one.

Hell yeah. No one recognized them out of the last 10 or so people that saw them. Mid South Wrastling at its greatest.

You are correct. Sorry, my brain fart. You can use the older Traxxas HV plugs or Venom adapters.

LOL. Jake the Snake, Junk Yard Dog, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Rowdy Roddy Piper.... They don’t do characters like they used to. I quit watching in the late ‘90s.

All this micro talk made me open the box on my 6 month micro crawler. LOL. Sooooo...I finally dove off into my ECX Barrage today. I pulled the stock servo and RX/ESC combo. Replaced them with an MG90 as well as a 10a XYZ ESC. I’m currently using a dehoused Rx from one of my Axial products.

I also pulled the side trim off of the flat bed while I was at it. Used an O ring to hold the ESC on top of the servo, stuck the Rx to the underside of the cab, and mid mounted the battery. I want the body as low as possible and there just wasn’t enough room for the battery on top of the servo so mid mount was the best I could do right now. I also trimmed the fenders just a little bit to make the lines flow as well remove the sharp corners where the tires make a little contact. The side trim and Rx/ESC was about the same weight as the battery if not more. I can get a weight if anyone cares.

WHY IS THIS THING SO FAST!?!! It’s ridiculously tall geared and scoots around a little slower than my brushed 1/24 Losi Micro SCT. WTF? I may try putting the HBX(sumo) tranny in soon.

Also, the outputs for the LEDs on the original Rx looked to be set at 5v. I’ll see what I can scrounge up to make them work again.

I just got into this hobby and was checking out a couple of local crawl spots some dudes listed at RCcrawler forums and they skeeved the heck out of me. Talk about rattler country, complete with lots of ground squirrels running around. I totally pussied out and didn't run on them at all.

LOL. I catching some work near Carlsbad and it’s similar cool try I supposed. Big assed rattlers but the ground squirrels are not as conman as the jack rabbits. Those fuggers are fast. All leg and no body.
