I’ve got an scx10, a couple of Wraiths, and a Bomber. I’m a Wraith man though so they see most of the action.

My suggestion is to have two of something. That way one or the other is down for repairs or modifications. I keep tweaking my Wraiths this way and both have evolved along. I really need to start spending more money on my RCs to continue to move forward. LOL.

It just depends what you’re doing with it. The amount of articulation in the wraith is wayyy better than the scx10. I ran into two issues in building a Wroncho, 1. It was too wide for our trail runs. The narrower scx10’s were able to go more places than I because I was too wide. 2. I could never get the front end to stay down on steep inclines. Partly to blame on it being based off the scx chassis and getting the COG low on 2.2’s was beyond me.

Moral of my experience: If you’re playing in open space with big rocks, wraith it up. If you’re into doing more challenging “scale” crawling, scx. My deadbolt (camo) will put do my wroncho hands down, mind blown at the difference.

IMO my wroncho “looked” way more dope, but it becomes irrelevant what it looks like when you’re buddies are all crawling up stuff you can’t make lol.

Have u consider the trx 4 since u already have an scx? That sport looks awesome

My scx10 honcho 12.3 was one of he ones that could it up most things, @Tundra2Play @Zac of all trades @Suprajim54 deadbolt 12 inch will out crawl my 12.3. If you get an scx10.2 id recommend the recently release deadbolt version.

CrossRC has some new releases that would be worth looking into. The Traxxas crawlers are a very good option as well. RC4WD has added a few more to their line up this years as well.

the deadbolt and honcho come with plastic links, trans gears and less capable axles than the jeep rtrs and kit. I dont like the jeep bodies though, and the deadbolt has more scale points out of the box but I prefer trucks... probably going to get the honcho and upgrade it right away.

If you’re stuck on a truck, I would def look at the new trx4 sport as well

I have this old Traxxas in my garage I want to sell. I want to use the money towards a crawler. I was wondering if you guys could tell me what you think it’s worth. It’s used but it runs fine. It’s a Traxxas 4310.

It is a lot of fun to drive! I’m scared of breaking it though. I have it up for 100 but that might be wishful thinking.

Yea, me too, but that $800 price tag buys some pretty good upgrades for my 1/1 scale truck. LOL
