The adapters are few and far between. I just bought a Traxxas battery and adapter from my LHS.

Do you all not swap over to a standard plug? I put all mine on a deans connector from the start. I got lucky with the honchoii and the hgp407, they came with a deans style plug. I have considered swapping over to xt 150 but Im not sure its really worth that money when Ive got them all on deans already.

I have two 3s that I need to put connector on, I have one venom battery it came with multiple adaptors that I would rather swap to a deans as well. I say clip it and standardize for yourself.

My hobby shop is going out of business so I got a dual 4s traxxas charger for 30% off. I also bought the last two traxxas to deans adapter they had. I run a gen aces battery in my race slash. Sucks traxxas kinda sucks with stuff, they must have told amain they can no longer sell the adapters. They had their own on brand (pro tec) adapters made it simple. I need to get a soder iron and then make up what I want to use and then just go through and get them all the same. Xt90 seems like the new way to go.

You mean the 8000mah. It usually gets something busted before the battery runs out so it forcefully takes breaks haha . It's got a 100c of punch so it pushes it along, but I'll be trying the 3s soon. But need to find a way to strap it in before, a 3s won't fit the factory battery holder

Good idea but I think ima just make slots to use a velcro strap the servo wire runs under the battery so I could just make it bigger and use that (in a 2wd Slash)

Hi everyone! my first post on this thread, and i'm very new to R/C cars. "Santa" brought my son a Traxxas Slash RTR 2x4 for Christmas a couple years ago. He loved it so much I bought him more batteries (total of 4 standard batteries) and the EZ (Traxxas) something or other charger that does Lipo or ni/mh batteries. well, i think we let the batteries sit too long and now they won't hold basically any charge at all. is there an easy way to recondition them, or what options do i have? He loves it and has really been wanting to go drive it around but he's quickly losing interest with our current battery situation. Our local hobby store went out of business so hopefully you guys don't mind helping me out :)

    Thanks in advance!

Years back when I converted my Savage I went with the old Traxxas connector on the ESC and bought some NiMh batteries for it. I started tinkering with it over the past year and it has no guts off the line so I picked up a Traxxas 3S LiPo in hopes to give it guts again. Being the only electric I have I didn't want to switch the ESC connector, just picked up the adaptor for the balance plug. Got the itch to get a crawler and convert my Sport-Maxx to electric. If I do then I would consider switching to a more universal plug.

just buy a new battery. the 2s traxxas batteries are not to bad on price. 40 bucks or so. You need to store charge them after use.

My 3S came in today and all I can say is, WOW! Lipo batteries are no joke. Brought the life back into the Savage from the, probably stale, NiMh. Of course I jump the gun and buy a Traxxas ID battery and the wrong adapter to balance charge it. Thank god for Amazon, found one that looks like it will work. If not I'll be making my own.

I had a 2s on the OG honcho, the honchoii is 3s out of the box. I should have never experienced the power of 3s. Now I want to upgrade to OG honcho just to run 3s on it as well

If you’ve not run LiPO in your car before, be sure to check the ESC for any special settings, like low charge warnings, lest you damage the battery or car.
