I was heavily involved in drifting, scale crawling and body painting. It all kind of burnt me out after a few years. Now I just like to look at them and enjoy my full sized scale rig.

Thank you! I spent a good amount of time restoring it, painting it, adding detail and lighting, etc. happy with how it came out, and actually holds up pretty well considering its a Hard Body. The 3/16" steel bumpers and exo cage help a bit though. crawls pretty good. need to add some weight to the front. thinking Brass Portal covers and knuckles.

the paint scratches, beer coolers, tow strap etc, and especially the rust on the tailgate totally complete the illusion that it's a real truck. Awesome. Camera angles are great too.

Maybe paint the battery connection and wire underneath flat black and it won't even be noticeable.
Or have it hidden inside a false air tank. Wires would be air lines. But that's something that is rarely seen anyway. Looks great.

hey thanks, I appreciate that!

This was my first scale build, (just got back into RC not too long ago) and really wanted to take my time and make it scale and detailed. I love that aspect of it.

Thats a good idea! I still have some things I want to do, The bed is still a work in progress, and I have some more metal work to do. I was thinking of making a tool box to house my allens and small spare parts to replace my current solution. Could do something all in one or just start hiding it all like you said.

a scale toolbox to carry actual tools for the truck would be awesome. Hearing them rattle around would just add to the realism.
