Not a big fan of Red Cat. It's not toy grade but it's not what I would consider hobby grade either. Spend the extra cash and go with the Axial SCX10 or the Traxxas TRX4. Both are well made with endless parts and hop ups and are also great scale performers. And if you end up not liking the hobby you can resell your Axial or Traxxas pretty easy but you will have a hard time selling the Red Cat or getting much back from it if you do.

I bought an everest gen7 sport to see if i'd like rc crawling. Didn't want to invest a ton if it was something I'd not enjoy. Redcat gets a bad rap, but the gen7 is pretty capable for the price and easy to mod. You can watch plenty of youtube videos of them driving around with trx4's that are more than double the price.

Not bad rigs at all. Starting to see them more and more. I see lots of first time RC folks grabbing them. Better for trailing than comp crawling so depends what you want to do

I also got a gen7 it's not bad for what it cost, it be great to start, it could be upgraded and can be modified to fit almost anything. Also they come completely rtr with everything someone starting needs.

I like the stamped steel headlocks. HR (Hot Racing) or the RC4WD ones. Simple, stout, and heavy. Be sure to get a good foam while you’re at it and it’ll be like night and day vs the stock gear.

Got new wheels and tires for the Temper. Huge improvement except the tires rub on the lower links. Anybody used spacers on their RC before?

I’ve used them and still on one of mine. Remove your hex and go into your local hobby shop and compare to what the Traxxas hexes are. I don’t remember the part number but there’s one set that is about 2-3mm wider I run on my SCX10. Just enough to clear components on it.

Ive got a blade torrent, stock fpv+ and an fpv+ with the pro board in it. Some headplay goggles and dx6e radio and lots of batteries. Thinking about selling all of it. My focus is on racing 1/10th offroad and crawlers.

I have a Blade quad that carries a go pro, would let it go fairly cheap, not brushless though. Very few hours, never crashed.
