The ktt body looks good for 40 bucks but any more than that and I'll hold off.

I grabbed the LC80 hard body at the LHS last friday. Now it's on sale..... https://www.asiatees.com/display?brand=Axial&model=SCX10&id=140664

In the quest for scale points and performance I've decided to put a Tamiya hard body hilux pinched in the front on the ii and the OG as they will never reach 50 scale points with out a hard body. I also grabbed another crawl space comp chassis to swap my honchoii on to. Hopefully the pinching and mounting the body goes well.

    Appreciate it brotha!

Hardbody FTW. The points are definitely worth it. That's the plan for mine too. Ton of scale points but it's decently built too and have been putting some time into fine tuning the balance and weight distribution. Almost there.. then comp time.

I swapped bodies on my 1/24 Barrage from the truggy to the RGT (re)brand of the same thing. I like the truck better and it’s actually lighter.

They do offer a clear body but I didn’t see it until the red one arrived. Less than $10 though.

Don't think so. Lower, more aerodynamic. Shorter wheelbase.

Put the scx10ii honcho and the OG scx10 honcho as close to box stock as I could get them....put the cool stuff from both on to their own game changer2 comp chassis from the LHS in denver. Also grabbed some Tamiya hilux hard bodies and got to work.... Here is today's progressn on the ii.
    20181208_214418-COLLAGE.jpg
The box stock chassis' have factory wheels and tires upgraded stock axles and links with metal gears through on factory electronics and new axial motors. Suddenly I have four running trucks instead of 2 with a bunch of parts in a cabinet..... The crawl space mentioned doing a store rental truck comp challenge. The rental trucks are all factory stock for the most part. I think it will be fun to see how they do vs a built rig. That was the inspiration for tackling this right now

I bought some oil shocks, put the stock springs on them, and swapped out the oil for the lightest oil I could get, and they are still too stiff. I guess this little 1/12 scale thing is just too light.

I think it's just how tall it was. I was signing up for practice and set my 1/8 Tekno buggy next to it while I signed up was shocked at the size it was, for a 1/10. Neat car though. Looks great in person. Enjoy it.

I’ve had my eye on a crawler for a while and pulled the trigger on a SCX10.2 builder’s kit. Used a MMP I had laying around and dropped in a 35T Holmes motor. Decided to go all out and opted for a 6S lipo for some good ol fashion hoonin’, hope the drivetrain can take it!

    72ED9E8D-B021-41AB-B277-BE61B10F2744.jpg C136D2C3-FEDB-45BD-8B2C-A8292B6A8904.jpg

    things left to do:
-Paint and cut out the Proline 4Runner body
-Wire up an external BEC to capitalize on the HV brushless Savox servo :muscleflexing:
-Replace the leaky shocks with TRX4 GTS takeoffs
