I just finished fitting my figure into the cab. had to trim him up some, and he's a little tall, but still works.

 

Wow he has over 2 dozen options now. When I first saw them it was like 2 options he moved fast getting that design done on them. The ls3 looks sweet but the 22r fits and is not on the higher priced end of things

 

I've seen that exclusive rc printing is not clean on some parts, but I am happy with this 22re, it looks better than I was expecting. Now I need to find or make a cone filter to plumb to the intake.

 

Need to finish the glass on the top. I guess you can't fit 40" with stock lift.

 

This is why I’m thinking about giving up on the scx10 4runner build. i need to get an rc4wd chassis, the motor and trans placement is so much better.

I subscribe to those guys on YouTube, they make some nice stuff. I didn’t realize they made that for the scx10, I figured it was for their chassis.

 

Yea they make a few bolt in kits now I think. I have one waiting to go in my tf2 to fit the 22re motor cover. The built-in front overdrive is cool.

 

There is the shapeways mounts that make it so you can use the scx10 chassis with hardbody rc4wd body's. spendy but cool and make life easy

 

I got the Dinky hilux slider mount kit, but the 4runner body is a bit wider but I could make it work. Probably won’t be to long before someone makes the 4runner kit. Then there’s the whole motor placement situation. Because the 4runner comes with interior and everything, i have to make it right. I may just use the scx10 chassis for a hilux body I have. Dang it, decisions decisions...and money. lol

 

Get an hgp407 bruiser clone for the 4 runner put bruiseruptor axles under it.....

Or look at my lhs website. The crawlspace. He has some 3d printed side mounts that are only 15 for the pair .fits Mojave body and has some for the f 350

You're telling me. I'm opting to build my own ARB bumpers and sliders to save some coin. I'm counting my build as an early birthday present to myself so it's all good.

 

Well if i use the amain monthly discount coupon and use my $90 rewards points, I could get a marlin for under $400. Or the tf2chassis kit for under $300 or less. Hmmm

 

I was going to get the chassis kit but when I priced out all the electronics that I needed to make it run it was over the price of the Marlin RTR.

 

That’s what I was thinking. Plus the 4runner comes with everything to mount it. It will go together so nice.

I finally got out to the krawlzone today. Kinda wet and no traction.

And i tried these BPC sliders on my deadbolt, actually fit really good and capture the body perfect. I think these could be used to mount the rc4wd 4 runner without too much modification.

 

Started off with one, now it’s grown into a hobby/obsession. The raptor truck was a ground up piece by piece long travel build I did, and the white fox is my newest 4x4. All of them are upgraded with rpm parts and better shocks. Still want to get an e revo 2.0 and a trx4 crawler
