Decided to get my Revo out of storage and run her around a bit. Hadn't done so in over a year.

Half way home I realized I screwed up by letting it sit for so long and not charging up the lipos a few times to keep them alive. So all 4 packs are trash at this point. Wont accept a charge. Oh well.

Just tossed in a few Ni-MH batteries that Ive had for a while. Worked, but turns out my esc was toast... luckily I had an extra one that came in my brushless motor replacement kit when my original fried. So far so good.

Dangit! Steering servo... toast... gears where stripped. Rebuilt servo. And now... wouldn't you know it, my remote will not stay connected.

    :help:

Nice, I love mine. I drove it for only the third time yesterday and I think the steering servo is ready to die. It struggles to return to center.

Try charging them as a NiMh for 30-40s to get some voltage in them. The immediately charge as lipo. If it’ll take then full charge and then discharge after they cool off. Cycle them this way 2-3 times and maybe, just maybe they’ll come back to life. Or they may be toast. Be mindful of any swelling, too.

Ill give that a shot with 3 of them. One was quite bloated. Didn't look far from exploding tbh.

    Thanks!

I'd start with jumping them for less time than that.....maybe 5-10seconds

Thanks guys, I appreciate the tips!
I love the performance lipo packs give the revo, but it sure is a pain to maintain them when you have things come up and don't have a chance to mess around with it for a while.

I'm not exactly sure. I charge mine on the storage mode and let them sit as long as I want. Hell, I have a ip battery I've had for 12 years.

Storage charge is something I didn't do in the past. Had to jump a 2s battery about a year ago and realized my errors. Use the storage charge to do exactly that .Balance charge to use them within a week or sooner

The lipos I’ve had that needed a NiMh charge boost I’ve used a low volt alarm that plugs in the balance port. Boost it to at least 3.2~v x the cell count. 6.4, 9.6, etc. My alarm has a volt read out for total and for each cell so you can watch as they come up. Once it’s ready unplug the alarm, plug the balance plug in, switch to the proper lipo setting, and charge.

Lipos will trickle down ever so slowly over time. As long as they don't drop lower than 3.0 per cell you can store them for as long as you want.

The weather has been horrible, so I’m finally working on the scale GlamRunner. The servo and motor cover are good friends, almost too much, I had to flip the gcm servo mount but everything fits nicely so far.
