Just got into RC and was thinking of making a backyard course. Anyone on here ever make one?

 

Youtube it, lots of good ideas. We are gonna try too at my buddies place, he has a pool deck that should be a good stand. The toughest part i see is spacing double jumps for different speed cars?

 

True. I have a Slash and the neighbor has an Xmaxx and Stampede. Trying to figure out a layout that both kids and adults can enjoy.

 

Got bored this weekend and bought an Axial Builders Kit - LHS actually had two in stock. I had the concepts F150 body from a while back and needed to drop it on something. Turned out as a nice fit. Will need to get it out and run it to se how I like it..

 

Just saw that Redcat is offering a builders kit with their portals. Decent price point if they hold together.

Light kit came in, as well as RPM trailing arms. This kit is BRIGHT. Have some parts out for paint too because I suck at painting

 

Not going to paint it like Ironman?

I'd like to go Ivan colors, though I'm not sure how good I can make this thing look considering it's a ford and a clear lexan body for this is $60. For now, Scaling it to Justin Loftons truck the best I can.

 

Does anyone dabble with these more affordable DIY kits for rc planes? I fly race quads and learned line of site, but would like to get into the plane world as well. And I've got a personal love for the warthog

Have you checked out flitetests website? They have tons of free plans for planes made with foam board. Or kits, for planes made with foam board.

Also, flying wings are a good start. I fly a couple crashtesthobbys scythes, both using miniquad powertrains. One with a 2206, 2600kv motor, the other with a 1406 3600kv motor and old copter esc's.

I just grabbed a switch air quad poerred wing. It has been a lot of fun so far

 

I have. I was looking at both the full size and mini wing kits. They look fun. Just need to familiarize myself with binding it to my tarnis and Rx input

 

It's not too difficult. And there are lots of tutorials on how to do so.
