Anyone into R/C?

One of my boats from a long time ago, still running to this day. Prather 32" hull with a marine o.s. .40 4 stroke engine.

An outrunner would be fine without a cooling jacket for quite some time since it’s basically air cooled. Just a matter of how long do you expect to run it and how hard.

A 28mm long can inrunner is what most folks run with minimum modding and maximum power.

 

Right, I was thinking about the esc. I suppose if I threw a 60A in there on 3s it would never get to hot.

All it has to do is go to the jacket and back out.

 

Hell yeah I'm into boating. I have the M41, River Jet and a venom. All a blast but the river jet is the most fun unfortunately the River Jet is built by Horizon so its built poorly and the hull has had to be severely modified just to stay afloat. But again a total blast on the rivers and creeks.

He’s on Facebook with that name and I do think that they are as he’s already doing 5th gen 4Runners now. He’s in France but ships everywhere.

 

If it’s anything like the 4runner, it will require a lot of glueing, sanding and fitting to build it. Not ready to go mount and paint body.

 

Broke out my unit today it needed attention. Charging up the plug charger ready to dump some nitro in it and see if she still runs. I put in another motor way back when can't remember what kind...

That does help. Wife and I bought 5 acres in the hills above Sherwood right in the middle of wine country. It was either grapes or an RC track....and I don't drink wine soooooo.

 

Don’t drink wine? Hmm. Ever tried to make your own. Get a flat of strawberries, pick a few gallons of wild whatever-berries, the preservative free frozen berries, even the frozen juice concentrate will do. Do a quick google and YouTube session. Fun times on a dime, too.


Got my 1/24 Spectre (Wraith) almost done. Need a hood and to figure out where to put the electronics. Need to do a little research on that. I do have a 2n1 combo from my Trail Trekker that’s fairly compact. Just need to find it.

 

There's a 3rd gen model on thingiverse (for printing), 3 versions, might have to adjust scale to fit your rig.

I rest my case, it’s a puzzle. It would definitely be worth the effort, i would love to see one completed.
